"We have to make up something to tell our friends. They definitely seem to like each other and I'm not going to let, whatever this is, ruin my best friend's happiness." I tell Pedri as we lay in my bed after our pillow talk session.

The sun has set a long time ago, even though it's only six o'clock. He has to leave to get ready for his game very soon, and we have to have this conversation before stepping out of the room.

"I obviously didn't tell Evelynn how you humiliated me, and I'm not going to. I don't want her to dislike you as much as I do, because that would mean that she wouldn't give your friend a chance. And they deserve a chance to be happy," I continue on. I hate lying to Evelynn, but I can't be selfish, not after everything she's been through.

"I know. Gavi doesn't really know anything either. But we obviously do have to make up some kind of story, because your friend clearly saw us and I bet she told Gavi as well," He responds, drawing small circles to the skin of my ribs.

"So we pretend that we get along for their sake?" I ask him, running my hand through his messy hair.

He gives me a light kiss and gets up. ", it's the least we can do." He starts dressing up once again while I stay in bed gazing at him.

And then he just leaves, without saying anything or looking back.

I didn't realise I fell asleep for a few minutes after Pedri left. I would think that all that just happened between us was a dream, unless I didn't have small lovemarks on my neck. The image that is staring at me back from the mirror is not familiar to me at all. Her hair is ruffled and messy, lips swollen and softly glowing pink cheeks. Talk about an afterglow, I'm sparkling.

I decide to take a second shower of the day because I have to get ready for Mason's match. I can't exactly show up looking like this to my brother's football match.

As I'm getting out of my quick shower I hear Evelynn closing the door to our room. I wrap my hair in a towel and throw a bathrobe over me. As I close the door to the bathroom behind me I'm met with Evelynn standing in the middle of the room, looking at  my shirt on the floor.

"Now what was going on here? I mean go girl, but next time please let me know beforehand so I know not to walk in on you two again," She lectures me laughing and pointing at my shirt. Never have I ever been so embarrassed.

"So what happened to your mutual decision to leave it as a holiday romance?" She continues on with her interrogation. I think I'm beyond embarrassed, can the earth swallow me now?

"Well... I don't exactly know. It just kind of happened and I don't want to talk about it now" I say and give her an embarrassed smile.

"Did you at least have fun with your new friend, Gavi? You see, I kind of helped you. Now you know each other," I smile and wrap my arm around her. She is so innocent and cute when she's blushing.

We end up gossiping about her date, that she apparently had with Gavi. She refuses to call it a date, but I most definitely know that it was a date. A pang of conscience hits me as she apologises for not telling me about her date. But I can't exactly tell her the truth now.
