Evelynn insists on staying in our room as I find Lando to catch up with him. I can't believe that he witnessed my make out session with Pedri. I just pray that he hasn't mentioned anything about it to Mason. I don't think Mase would be very happy to find out how much I actually spend time with the Spaniard.

I knock on Mason's door and I don't have to wait for long until he opens it. "Hey Mads, what are you doing here?" He asks and gives me a genuine smile. I feel bad that I haven't spent that much time with him for the past couple of days.

"I'm trying to find Lando, did you know he came already last night?" I ask him, biting my lip. I'm pretty sure Lando told him about coming early, but I'm hoping that's all Mason knows.

"Oh yes, he said that he wanted to surprise you. Didn't you see him last night?" Mason asks and raises his eyebrows. He gives me a look that tells me that he knows I'm hiding something from him.

"I think his flight was delayed or something, because no one came by our door last night," I say quickly, trying to dart his questioning look. "Anyways I was wondering if you knew which floor he's staying in?" I add.

Mason tells me that Lando is actually staying in a different hotel, that's just a few minutes away from ours. I leave my brother in his room and tell him to keep Evelynn company with the boys when I'm away.

Turns out that Lando's hotel wasn't really a few minutes away, more like twenty minutes by foot. But that's okay, because I don't really have anything else to do today. There's still two days before the semifinals and both of my boys, Pedri and Mason, are busy. Evelynn on the other hand wanted to spend some time alone going through her feelings and thoughts about the drama surrounding her and Gavi.

The rumours have calmed down a bit, but almost every girl is crying and whining about Gavi dating someone. I mean, I get them, because when I was younger I had a huge crush on Theo James and when I found out he was married I was crushed. So I can't help but sympathise with them.

I find Lando waiting for me at the entrance of his hotel, looking at me with a stupid smirk on his face.

"There she comes, the girl who I found shoving her tongue down the enemy's throat last night!" He announces as I get closer to him.

"Oh Muppet shut up, will you? Not everyone in this whole country needs to know about my sins," I frown and swat at him. Lando sometimes acts like an annoying brother who can't help but to make fun of me.

"What? I wasn't the one who clearly cannot control herself in public and who, by the way, has not mentioned anything about a certain someone to her very dear friend," He tries to hold a serious face but soon breaks down in a fit of laughter. I pretend to punch him and we can both barely breathe through our laughter.

Lando suggests we have lunch together since it's already noon. He knows some good places here because of the F1 races. It's my first time in Qatar, but he's been here multiple times before so he can be my personal tour guide.

Lando convinces me to try warak enab which is a local delicacy. It's basically vine leaves stuffed with rice and ground beef, seasoned with garlic, pepper and coriander.  It's very similar to the Greek dolmades, which is one of my favourite foods, but with meat in it. Lando sticks to pizza and we also order some wedges and water for drinks. Lando reminds me a lot of Evelynn when it comes to eating habits, but at least as long as there's pizza and pasta, eating with them is not a problem.

"So little birdie, time to start singing about this man I saw with you last night. Imagine the trauma I got from witnessing you and Pedri doing some unholy stuff in the hallway," He laughs and raises his eyebrows.

"Come on Lando. Nothing beats the trauma I got when I found you making out with your ex in your driver's room. That was something very traumatic for a seventeen-year-old," I answer snarkily. He has no right to lecture me since he's done the same thing.

Lando just raises his hands to surrender and I explain to him the situation. Well, at least the main points like how me and Pedri just started hanging out and how we're now in this situationship. I don't really know what to call it, so we're sticking with the 'situationship'-term.

"And how on earth did you manage to keep this from me? If I would've known you were dating one of the most promising young footballers I would've come here earlier," He goes on and gives me a huge grin. "I mean he seemed nice when I met him, but I didn't think of him as your type. I thought you were going for the quiet and brooding boys with some serious issues to work on, like your exes," he continues laughing.

"Wait a minute, you know him, Lando? And that is definitely not my type!" I raise my voice a bit. Not enough to disturb the people around us but enough for Lando to understand that I'm serious.

"Yeah we met and talked in a few of the races this year and he came up to me in Barcelona. Wait, was Pedri the guy you hooked up with in the club?" Lando gets all excited and giggles like a little kid.

"And how come you didn't mention this to me earlier? And why did you let me introduce you to each other last night if you already knew each other?!" I whine and I can already feel myself blushing.

"Maddy, how was I supposed to know that you are now suddenly interested in a football player? And second of all, you made it so awkward last night that I had no choice but to go along with your 'I'm trying to make this as normal as possible'-plan. Pedri definitely remembered me and he could clearly see that I remembered him as well, that's why we were both just grinning," He explaines and realisation hits me. That's why they were both acting so weird last night.

I just bury my head in my hands and whine about not being awkward. Lando laughs at me and we end up talking about his winter break now that Formula 1 season has ended.

After eating he takes me to a little walk on the beach where we end up spending a good few hours together. As Lando takes me back to my hotel he informs me that he'll be in England's semifinal and we make plans on watching the game together in the stands.

Lando leaves back to his hotel and I walk through the busy lobby of the hotel. Seems like almost every remaining team is either leaving for practice or coming back from one. I almost make it to the elevator without anyone disturbing or bumping into me, but almost is an almost.

"Ay, eres la novia de Pedri, verdad?" I hear a Spanish voice yell after me. How, no matter where I go, I always end up hearing his name mentioned?
