"Maybe you'll find a hot Spanish boy who'll make you fall in love finally. Honey it's been a few years since you actually dated anyone. Stop complaining and have some hope," Evelynn lectures me after me joking about crying in the bathroom tonight.

I didn't always used to be this cynical about love and dating. I actually used to wear my heart on my sleeve and see the good in everything. But that only got my heart broken, so I built walls to protect myself.

I mean, I still am a hopeless romantic, it's just not something you figure out as soon as you see me. It's something only the people closest to me know. People like Evelynn, who think that a guy will magically drop on my lap from the heavens above.

I wish she was right, but I'm too realistic to see that happening anytime soon.

We listen to Taylor Swift, ABBA and some songs from the radio as we get ready. We're both buzzing with excitement and joy, but it might also be the tequila talking. Tequila isn't my go to drink, but it takes the overthinking, that me and Evelynn both do, away.

Evelynn puts on her cherry red dress, or as the Formula 1 girl in me would say, Ferrari red dress. The satin dress flatters her and the open back will surely leave the boys gaping behind. She decides to wear black heels that she bought from Zara earlier today. Her sparkling silver jewellery makes her eyes shimmer like diamonds and her blond curls look angelic. Needless to say that she looks absolutely gorgeous and the Spanish guys will be drooling after her.

I, on the other hand, decide to wear one of my favourite forest green dresses. I've always loved green not only because there are so many different shades of it, but also because it really suits my features. The dress has long puffy sleeves but the dress itself is short, which I really like. I'm horrible at walking in heels and tend to be clumsy even without them, so I stick to wearing my brown Dubarry shoes. Opposite to Evelynn I only stick to wearing gold jewellery with green little emeralds.

We end up looking like opposite twins. Both with our hair open, but her wearing red and me wearing green.

We really are a sight for the Spanish boys, they have no chance.
