I spend the next morning watching Mase and the boys train for the semifinals that are on later today. Evelynn decided to stay in her room once again so I'm left watching the team train alone. Everyone's pretty nervous and their stress levels are so high that no one dares to joke or mess around. The whole World Cup has felt like a dream. England has played so well and they've made everyone so proud. On top of that I've met someone who I'm genuinely interested in. Everything feels almost too good to be true.

Later during the day I get a text from my star boy, whom I haven't seen today at all. When I got back from the boys' practice, his team was gone for their own practice and strategy meetings.
Pedri: Want to come and see our semifinal today? I can sneak you in with the other girlfriends and families ;)
My heart skips a beat at the mention of 'other girlfriends' as if I'm included in them. I let out a small giggle which makes Evelynn turn towards me.
"It's one of the most important games so far and he seems to want me there. I mean it's pretty obvious that we have feelings for each other, right? So I shouldn't be surprised that he wants me to support him," I try to clear my thoughts by pouring it all out to Evelynn.
"Of course he has feelings for you and that's exactly why he wants you there! Do you even need to think about it? You have to go and support him. It's perfect because you'll make it to Mason's game afterwards," she tells me with the biggest smile on her face.
It does seem like the perfect plan. I'll watch Spain's game and get a taxi to the stadium where England's playing. It's going to be tight but it should leave me some time in between the matches to congratulate Pedri.
Once again, everything feels too perfect and good to be true.

After struggling with what to wear, how to do my hair and finding a taxi to take me to the stadium, I'm finally sitting peacefully in my seat. Pedri had organised me a ticket and pass to get into the stands where all the players' families are. A staff member was waiting for me at the entrance and showed me my seat right next to a girl who must be around my age.
I decide to text Pedri to wish him luck and to let him know that I'm here supporting him no matter what happens. He deserves to know how proud of him I am and how much I appreciate him for getting me tickets.
Me: Good luck guapo! I'll be cheering for you from the stands. Go and make the whole Spain proud, but try not to spend the whole game rolling down in the grass:D I'm so proud of you, best of luck amore<3
I'm actually surprised when my phone pings to let me know that he replied to my text so quickly.
Pedri: I'll try my best cielito. If we make it to the final, be prepared to celebrate with me;) I'll meet you after the game in the corridor of the locker rooms.
I love how playful and sweet Pedri is and how he manages to lift my mood even with a simple text. I put my phone away and start taking off my England jersey to show off the Spain's one I have under it.
As I was running around our hotel room, I got the brilliant idea to put both of my boys' jerseys on. I hid Pedri's jersey under Mason's one so I could just take off England's one once I was in the stadium and change back into it before running to Mason's game. I thought I was being smart but now seeing the girl next to me staring and trying not to laugh I don't think so anymore.
"Hi, I love your outfit choice. It's really... diplomatic, but you do know that Spain is not playing against England today?" She gives me a smile accompanied by a little laugh. I feel so awkward and like a total idiot sitting next to a woman as stunning as her.
"I'm Sira by the way, you must be Madeline?" She continues and that finally manages to snap me out of my thoughts.
"Yes, uhmm hi. I wanted to support my soon-to-be home country while remaining loyal to my roots," I laugh awkwardly and put Mason's shirt in my bag.
"By the way, how did you know my name?" I ask her, because I've never seen her before.
"Oh sorry, Pedri told Ferran that someone special was coming to see the game. So he arranged for us to sit close to each other, so that you wouldn't be all alone," Sira explains and she must see the confusion still in my face. "I'm Ferran's girlfriend and the coach's daughter."
We continue talking and gossiping until the game starts and we both focus on our boys. Pedri plays really well and when the half time starts he walks past our stands and winks an eye at me. Needless to say that it makes me smile like a total fool and I even think my heart skips a beat.
During half time I leave to go to the bathroom and to grab something to eat. If I want to make it to England's game as well, without getting hangry, I need to get some food. I order some chips and a soda, basic football stadium food. I finally get my food when the second leg starts so I decide to continue watching the game from the cafeteria because I'm too lazy to move back into the stands. My seat was in the middle of everyone so I don't bother all the people by blocking their view as I'm trying to get to my seat.
I'm done eating when there's only 15 minutes left, so it gives me enough time to go to the bathroom, change my clothes and sneak my way into the corridor where the locker rooms are located.
When I'm in the bathroom I change back into Mason's shirt and fix my hair. I watch the remaining minutes of the game and cheer as Spain ends up winning. That means that they are in the final. I'm so proud of Pedri and the whole team, they are making all of Spain's dreams come true.
As I start making my way to the locker something catches my eye. A staff member is carrying what appears to be Pedri's black hoodie in her arms. My suspicion is confirmed when I see the little white Formula 1 car on the front. I stole the hoodie a few days ago but I have no idea why it's here. The last time I saw it was in my bed this morning, I've been basically living in that ever since I stole it from him.
"Hey! Excuse me but where did you find that hoodie? I think it's mine," I explain to the staff member and she gives me a suspicious look.
"It's mine, I know it has initials P.G on the back," I continue, trying to convince her that it's mine.
She murmurs something about finding it in the corridor and that she's going to take it to the 'lost and found' basket, but she ends up giving it back to me and lecturing me about taking better care of my things.
I have no idea how it ended up here, but for now I'm just happy that it found its way to me. I put it over my jersey and finally start walking towards the locker rooms.
I'm so happy that surely nothing can ruin my day.
