The match is about to begin and I'm thrilled with excitement. I mean I'm confused as hell about what I'm actually doing here in the stadium, watching Spain's game. It's not like me and Pedri are dating. But I am wearing his shirt and I am here because of him. Maybe I'm just living in the moment for once in my life.

I texted Mason earlier saying that I had a wardrobe malfunction and needed to do some shopping immediately. To my surprise he believed me without giving me a lecture. Evelynn on the other hand just wished me luck and said that she was going to do some sightseeing in the meanwhile. Well, the last time I saw her was when she was pulled into one of the locker rooms, so I don't know what kind of sights she was seeing there.

Pedri looks at me straight in the eyes from the field and gives me a thumbs up. Thank god my seat is just behind their bench, so no one will think he was making that gesture to me. I just smile to myself and get cosy to watch the game.

The game is a tie when halftime starts. I don't know what Gavi and Evelynn did before the game, but Gavi seems to be on fire today. Behind me a few girls are giggling at the sight of Gavi and Pedri doing some warm ups right before the second half. The girls look very young, they must be around fifteen-years-old and they're all wearing Spain's shirts. They continue gossiping about Gavi and Pedri both being single and what their possible types could be. Their conversation just makes me laugh, it reminds me of myself when I was younger and drooling over my brother's previous teammates and boy bands.

The second half starts and I'm sitting on the edge of my seat. Spain has played so well so far and I'd hate to see them go home now. It would also mean that my little tournament romance with Pedri would probably come to an end.

When Marco Asensio scores a goal after 10 minutes of the second half starting, I lose it. I clap and cheer like crazy jumping up from my seat. The girls behind me give me a side eye but I couldn't care less. I'm basically living their dream, which seems crazy, so they better stop judging me.

Only three minutes after the previous goal, Álvaro Morata aims for the win and we're leading 2-0. There's no hope for the Moroccans after that and Spain ends up winning the match. As the referee blows the whistle Pedri jogs up to the bench and gives everyone a big hug. His eyes search for me and when he finally spots me he gives me the biggest smile I've ever seen.

As the boys leave for the locker rooms and everyone starts leaving the stadium, I receive a text message from Pedri.

Pedri: meet me outside of the corridor to the locker rooms in half an hour:)

While waiting for Pedri I call Evelynn to tell her that I'm alive and that her man was on fire today. She complains about not being able to watch the game and tells me that my brother is still clueless about my whereabouts. I send a silent prayer that it states that way because the last thing I want is Mason making a big deal out of this.

I end the call as I see Pedri walking out of the locker room. His eyes roam the corridor to make sure no one is here except for us before running to give me a big hug.

"You are my lucky charm! We won, we're not going home!" He shouts and lifts me up to twirl me around.

"Ay calmate! I know and I'm so proud of you, but please put me down," I laugh at him. When he finally puts me down I give him a quick kiss on the lips. I'm scared that someone will catch us, but at the same time I couldn't care less right now.

"The shirt really looks stunning on you, you should betray your country more often, it seems to be working out for us," He laughs and I swat him playfully. He just gives me a kiss and we leave for the bus to get back to the hotel.

I don't want to admit it, but betraying my country never tasted this good before.
