It takes me a few seconds to realise where I am when I wake up. The room is bathed in golden light, so the sun must be setting down. I roll to my side, expecting to find Pedri there, but instead I'm met with a cold mattress.

I get up and by the looks of it, I'm alone in the room. A paper note on the nightstand of Pedri's bed, which I'm currently occupying, catches my eye.

Buenos dias chiqui,

We've left for dinner and a team meeting. I didn't want to wake you up, you looked too pretty to disturb. I'll come and find you tomorrow cielito<3

Ya te extraño mucho,

Pedri

I can't help but to smile as I read the little note he wrote for me. He even drew, or at least tried to draw, a little heart on the bottom of the note. Seems like Pedri knows me well enough to know that I hate being woken up from my naps. Evelynn and I anyways made plans to order takeout and spend the evening watching films and gossiping, so I don't mind missing dinner at all.

Before I leave I decide to take something to cheer Evelynn up. I wanted to steal a hoodie from Pedri anyways, so I might as well steal a shirt from Gavi. Their room is basically a mess, so I don't think they'll notice.

A black hoodie that rests on a chair on the corner of the room catches my eye. I've seen Pedri wear this hoodie with a white line going along the sleeves and his initials on the front quite a few times. The back of the hoodies has a small white line design of a Formula 1 car. It has to be one of my favourite things I've seen him wear. I'm sure he wouldn't mind me loaning it, I bet he would hardly even notice that it's gone.

I walk over to the chair and pick it up. I pull it over my head and the smell of his after shave almost knocks me out right there. It's something I'll probably never get used to. The hoodie is a bit over sized on me, but that just makes it even more perfect.

I grab one of Gavi's shirts that's just laying discarded on the floor for Evelynn. It's just a simple black shirt with a small red heart on the chest. By the looks of it, he must've worn it and it probably even smells like him. I know that'll cheer up my bestie better than anything else. I never steal things or take anything without permission, but I'm feeling like a rebel now and I can't help but imagine the surprise on Pedri's face as he sees me wearing his hoodie.

I write a little note to Pedri to tell him that I'll be around and that I miss him also. I add on the end of the note a small smiley face and tell him that I might have a little surprise for him. The surprise, of course, is his hoodie, but he doesn't need to know that yet.

As I get back to my room, Evelynn is still binge watching Love island on her bed. "Hey girly, I come with gifts!" I announce and throw Gavi's shirt at her.

"What is this and where did you get it?" She raises her eyebrows and takes the shirt in her hands. It doesn't take long for her to figure out who's shirt it is or where I got it from.

"Did you steal this just for me?" She asks with puppy eyes and a huge grin. I know she misses Gavi and by his earlier reaction I know he misses her too. But I don't need to stick my nose into other people's business'. I know they'll sort everything out later and I have a feeling that this little pause will only make them both realise their feelings towards each other.

"Yup, I thought it might cheer you up a bit," I say and give her a smile. She puts it on immediately while I just laugh. She looks so cute in his shirt that is definitely too big for her.

I take a quick shower and change back into Pedri's hoodie and some black shorts. Meanwhile Evelynn orders us food and some dessert. We decided to get some tortillas and nachos, and chocolate cake as dessert.

We put on 'Tangled' because it's one of Evelynn's favourite films and it'll surely make her feel better. We've watched the film together so many times that both of us can recite it without a problem.

"Do you think I should tell Mason about my situation with Pedri? I feel bad about lying to him," I admit and Evelynn just gives me an unsure look.

"On the other hand Mason deserves to know who your boyfriend is, but then again it's actually none of his business who you date," she shrugs.

"Well he's not exactly my boyfriend so I don't know-" I start but Evelynn quickly stops me.

"Oh come on, stop pretending to be a bad bitch and not have feelings, Maddy. You're forgetting that I'm your best friend and I've known you almost all your life, so drop the act. I can see you really like him and that is a good thing," Evelynn starts lecturing me. To be honest, she has a point. But she also has no idea what's going on between me and Pedri.

"I'm just so scared that I'll get hurt again, like last time. I'm sure you remember how my ex treated me and then the whole cheating situation with Jason. I seem to attract the wrong type of guys, so what if this is no different?" I admit. It feels so freeing to get the fear out of my chest, because my past has been on my mind quite a lot lately. I'm scared to like Pedri because when I do, I'm sure it'll all go wrong and I'm going to end up in pieces again.

"But what if it doesn't? What if he's the one who'll make it all worth it? You can't run away from your feelings or him, because I'm pretty sure he would run after you. And he's an athlete so I think he'd catch you quickly," She adds and laughs. I don't know if I should laugh or cry right now. Evelynn always comes up with the best advice, even if she hasn't actually dated anyone yet.

I pull her in for a hug and we continue watching the movie and drooling over Flynn Rider.

I love moments like this with Evelynn. She always knows how to cheer me up and be there for me even without trying. I know she'll kill Pedri if he ends up hurting me and I know I'll help her hide the body. It's the same way if Gavi does something stupid and breaks her heart. We're besties after all and no body, no crime.
