It feels all so unreal. Going from a woman with barely any money, an asshole of a boyfriend, and a tiny apartment, to being the fiancée of a incredibly handsome billionaire, who cooks, takes care of me, and let me move into the huge tent house he built. And bought me a cat even though he hates cats.

The cool metal of my engagement ring makes my heart leap with excitement and joy, this feeling in my chest unlike anything else I've ever felt. The night that he proposed still seems like a dream, but the shining rocks on my finger are living proof that it wasn't.

Dawson was so cute trying to figure ice skating out, whining and grumbling when he couldn't get it right. It's the only thing I've found that he isn't good at so far. Watching him stumble around the rink, gripping at the walls, it made me realize how much I needed him. To make me smile, to make me laugh, to make me feel. The warming feeling that I had in my chest when I turned around and found Dawson on one knee still echoes in my mind. The amount of shock and absolute joy that rushed through my brain and body had me breaking down into tears. Out of all the women in the world, he chose me.

He chose me. And I chose him.

That night after we had dinner and got back to the house, there was a celebration awaiting us. They knew. They all knew. The second I walked through the door, everyone cheered, pulling me into hugs and laughing and smiling with me. It was Christmas Eve, the best Christmas Eve I've ever had. We shared stories, we laughed, we talked, we drank. But in the end, I knew what it was.

I was now part of a family. A real family. One that cares for me just as much as I do them. No one judged me, no one insulted me. They welcomed me into their home with the warmest hugs I've ever received and then a week later, I was going to be taking their last name as well. Mr and Mrs. Grey were so excited when we came back to the house, she threw her arms around me and sobbed, telling me how happy she was that her son finally found a girl he loved and cherished. Dawson's father gave me a hug and told me how proud he was to call me his daughter-in-law, and that broke me down into tears again.

Home. That was home. This is home. Dawson is home.

The man I never thought I deserved was now my fiancé. And that is enough to keep the largest smile ever known on my face.

The familiar, warm lips of Dawson's touch my forehead again, his fingers playing with the ring on my left ring finger. Ever since he slipped it on my finger, he plays with it absentmindedly and it makes my heart so full that it almost hurts. He wears one too, not nearly as extravagant as mine, just a basic gold band with my first initial carved into the top. It's enough to send my stomach flipping and heart pounding.

   He's mine. All mine.

For the rest of my life. I get to go home with him, sleep in the same bed with him, watch movies with him, watch him make dinner, find new ways to break the furniture.

   Forget about that last part.

"Are you ready, darling?" His husky voice whispers in my ear, sending tingles down my spine as he grabs my chin softly, turning my head and planting his lips to mine.

"Mm," I hum into his lips, my arms instinctively wrapping around his neck, fingers in his hair, keeping him to my body.

The elevator dings and comes to a smooth stop, forcing me to pull back from Dawson to watch the doors pull apart in front of us. "Everyone is already in the meeting room," he murmurs to me, guiding me through the elevator doors and into the hallway. The clear glass of the meeting room allows me to see all of Dawson's workers sitting at the long table, leaning back in the office chairs and chatting about. Vanessa and Jack are sitting next to each other, and I can't help but smile as Vanessa whacks Jack on the arm, throwing her head back and laughing. Dawson's blonde best friend just watches Vanessa like she's the sun.
