🌹Part 5B : Chapter Eight

~Year 2230~
~Mitch~

Mitch threw Agnus in the air, as he stood about waist-deep in water, and listened to his son giggle and squeal in delight. Mitch felt a hand rest on his forearm as he caught the four-year-old.

"I thought you wanted to take a nap while we played?" Mitch asked as he looked at Daciana.

"I did, then some asshole kicked sand on me," Daciana answered and Mitch frowned before placing his hand on her, slightly, swollen stomach.

"Do we want to go to our room and get an early lunch?" Mitch asked and Daciana nodded.

"Yes please." Daciana yawned and Mitch nodded before the three made their way to their little setup.

"Here, hold him. I'll pick up." Mitch said and Daciana nodded before taking Agnus away from Mitch. Agnus laid his head on his mother's shoulder.

"Can I have cheese?" Agnus asked, over the past few months his sentences have been much more complete and Daciana and Mitch are so proud.

"You can have mac 'n' cheese, big man." Mitch nodded as he put their things in Agnus' wagon. "But mama showers first."

"Always mama first." Agnus scoffed, offended that Mitch had to say that. "Mama mama. Mama first." Mitch smiled at their son, not surprised he understood his sentence.

"Just making sure you know." Mitch hummed as he took Agnus and placed him in his wagon. "After you, my love." Mitch motioned for Daciana to walk in front of him and she grabbed his hand before leading the way to their hotel. The three got to their room and Mitch helped Agnus out of the wagon as Daciana went to the bathroom.

"Can you pick me out something to wear?" Daciana called from the shower and Mitch grinned.

"Of course, my love," Mitch answered before picking up her bag and pulling out one of her wrap dresses.

"Go put this in the bathroom for Mama, I'll be in in a minute." Mitch mused as he handed the dress to Agnus, who then ran into the bathroom and put the dress on the counter.

"Thank you, baby." Daciana hummed as Mitch walked into the bathroom with undergarments for her. "Can you stay in here for a minute, Mitch?"

"Course, sweetheart." Mitch nodded as Agnus turned on the TV. "What's up, baby?" Mitch asked and Daciana popped her head out and puckered her lips. Mitch grinned before kissing her. "That it, love?"

"Uh-huh." Daciana nodded and Mitch smiled before leaving the bathroom, leaving the door open.

"How much do you love mama?" Agnus asked as Mitch sat behind him.

"I love Mama very much," Mitch answered and Agnus looked at him.

"Yeah?" Agnus asked and Mitch nodded.

"Papa would marry Mama this second if Mama wanted," Mitch answered as Daciana left the bathroom in her new clothes.

"But Mama doesn't want to?" Agnus asked and Mitch sighed.

"It's complicated, big man."

"Your turn, honey." Daciana hummed and Mitch looked at her with wide eyes.
