Before she had to go again, Enid forced Wednesday to join her friends for breakfast. Having people around who cared about her distracted her from the worries on her mind. She was enjoying breakfast until she saw her parents walk in. Her eyes met theirs immediately, and their eyes were puffy and full of distress. She could tell by their faces that they had gotten a call about something they had wished to never hear.

Wednesday couldn't sleep last night due to her constant coughing. But she knew the coughing wasn't the only thing keeping her up, though she had never really felt worried before. She kept constantly thinking about what they would tell her tomorrow, if she was going to be okay or not. And she knew from their faces she wasn't going to be okay. She had never been scared before but suddenly knowing that she had something serious going on with her, she was scared.

She thought ever since she was a child she would be able to fight anything or anyone that stood in her way. She thought that if she was ever seriously sick she would be able to beat it in an instant. But knowing that she was in this position, she didn't feel as strong as she did. With all this stuff going on with her she was starting to get tired of it. She was starting to realize that this stuff could be serious when she went to her first doctor's visit. She thought hard about if the big nodular mass they had found on her lungs could really turn out to be something serious. While she liked the idea of pain, she knew she wouldn't enjoy experiencing this kind. Since she knew she would have to suffer from being weak and tired for a prolonged period of time, she wasn't so interested in it as much as she was.

After breakfast she made her way to her parents' car hoping they were there already. Thankfully they were and they seemed to be waiting for her. She took her time to study their faces. Their eyes were still puffy and her mother seemed to be having a hard time looking her in the eyes. Because her mother's look spoke a thousand words, she understood why. They quickly entered the car, Gomez signaling Lurch to start driving. Her father opened his mouth to talk.

She quickly cut him off. "How did you find out? Who told you?"

Gomez looked at Morticia insisting she was the one to explain the situation since she was the one to take the call.

Morticia looked at her leaning over and grabbing both of her hands slowly caressing them as she let out a shaky breath

"The assistant of Dr. Bradley called so that they could add a few more examinations for today's appointment" her mother let go of her hands tears now forming in her eyes

"How much do you know?" she asked

Gomez shakily sighed looking at her with a frown

"They said you have what seems to be cancer, but that's all we know right now" he admitted.

"They didn't say anything about what type it could be though" Morticia interjected

Silence settled over them

"So... how are you feeling about all this dear?" Morticia asked her "just remember that if you are ever feeling worried, scared, or anything else, just know that you can share that with us cause we want to help you"

"You know what I feel like right now? I feel like if I hear you speak another word about this or anything else I will jump out of this moving car" she hissed in aggravation.

They had finally made it to the hospital. Once they were called in, Dr. Bradley gave a small smile and led them to his office where he pulled out Wednesday's file as they took a seat.
