36. Christmas

Enid has never been so nervous to be returning back to the Addams family mansion. The thought of being able to see her Wednesday again gave her butterflies. She couldn't wait to hopefully see Wednesday and only Wednesday and not those musty crusty bad cells. She could not wait to see Wednesday again.

She received a text message from Wednesday stating that Lurch would be there soon. Three more dots showed up and disappeared after a few seconds until she received a new message.

"I can't wait to see you" knowing Wednesday struggled to express her emotions she smiled widely.

She waited outside the gates of Nevermore where Lurch had come to pick her up. When she got in the car and sat down she sat exactly where Wednesday would sit. Why did the car smell like Wednesday?

Omg she's so obsessed with Wednesday that she even knows what she smells like.

Back at the mansion Wednesday was stuck up in her room trying her hardest to get ready since she had no idea when Enid would be getting here. And for some reason she wanted to dress and look nice today for Enid so she had no choice but to force herself into looking at her reflection.

When she saw herself in the mirror reflection she wanted to break it then and there. She looked so... ugly. Why did Enid even like her? Was she doing this out of pity?

She looked so ugh. Dark eyes bags layed under her eyes, her forehead wome how showed more than ever and she was to skinny for her own liking. She regretted this.

She doesn't feel good enough. She wasn't good enough for Enid.

Enid was perfect. Hair, eyes, height, nose, body, etc. Everything about the girl was absolutely gorgeous. Even the way she walked was spot on.

Why couldn't she be perfect? Enid deserves better. It isn't fair for her to have Enid.

She couldn't look away from the mirror. It's like she was cemented to the floor of her bedroom. At least she was in the corner.

She didn't know how long she had been standing there till Pugsley came through her door without knocking and told her that someone was outside.

"If it's Santa Claus I'm gonna kick him down the stairs" she told him before walking down the stairs and up to the front door where her parents were standing for some reason.

Once she got out the front door she saw Lurch driving through the gate and up into the driveway before stopping the car. Enid stepped out of the car and stopped remembering what happened last time they met and just wanted to be safe.

"Do you have enough white blood cells?" she said hesitating

"Yes" Wednesday assured her from the front steps leading to her house

Enid looked over at her parents "does she?"

Gomez laughed and replied, "Yes, she does."

"So can I kiss her?" Enid asked

Morticia smiled and nodded

"Go ahead" Morticia chuckled

She sprinted over to her, hugging her close before grabbing her face and pressing her lips against hers. In her stomach, she felt the wonderful fluttering sensation again. It felt like her stomach was doing somersaults.

When they parted, she could see Pugsley doing the stupidest grin ever. She became a bit flustered when she realized that her entire family was watching them including Uncle Fester and Thing.

When they walked back into the mansion Enid immediately felt like she was at home. I felt as if she had been here forever.

They set Enid's things up in Wednesday's room. They continued to finish the kiss they had started outside the house in the privacy of her room. Though this wasn't their first kiss, it really felt like it was. It had the same spark and warm feeling. She could easily agree to do this all day. But not everything can last forever. They were interrupted by a knock on the other side of the door.

"Mom says lunch is ready so hurry up so we can start eating!" Pugsley yelled from the other side of the door before walking away

Breaking apart they looked into each other's eyes before Enid broke out into laughter. Enid's laugh was the best thing ever and she couldn't help but smile. Those rare smiles made Enid feel worth more than a billion diamonds.

They walked out of the room with their hands intertwined.

A couple of hours later they were having dinner and it was the best food Enid had ever had. She wished she could have it everyday. She loved how well the entire family worked together to do things. She wished her family was able to work together like this but they don't which she guesses is fine.

After they had dinner the two teens walked back to the room where they sat on Wednesday's bed.

"Are you in love with me?" She asked out of no where

She noticed how Wednesday's cheeks reddened

"Um... have you seen how nice the weather is outside today?" she said avoiding eye contact which gave her the answer she already knew.

"You are!" She said standing up from the bed and jumping up and down excited

"Yes, yes I am" Wednesday said as she stood up

Enid hugged her tightly before looking into her eyes, "that's awesome thing because I happen to be in love with you as well!"

When night finally came they didn't even bother to pull out the inflatable mattress. Enid lay down on her bed where she pulled Wednesday down to lay on her chest. One hand straddling her head and the other on her back where she slowly rubbed it.

It wasn't long before Wednesday felt herself falling asleep. Her eyes closed as she inhaled Enid's scent, pushing her head deeper into her chest. Her scent was strawberry-like. All of a sudden, she really likes strawberries.

"Goodnight Wednesday"

"Goodnight Enid"
