The next morning Gomez made his way to Wednesday's room to wake her up for her treatment. In the same vein as the previous morning, she resisted going back to the hospital. When he asked her to get up she turned her back on him and sulk. But luckily he had something that would definitely make her want to get out of bed."I think you'd wanna come along this time unless you want to leave Enid all alone waiting at the hospital" he said.
A mix of emotions was now written across Wednesday's face as she turned back around. The fact that one wolf was able to do this to her was quite remarkable. A mixture of happiness, excitement, and fear surrounded her.
"She's accompanying me to my chemo appointment?" She asked softly in an uncertain tone
"Yes my raven" he said before continuing "I know this has all been rough on you, but if you can get past these last few months you could go back to the academy. You can scream, threaten us, and cry all you want but you will go to your chemo treatment. But hey maybe it will be better today that Enid will join you."
Wednesday was still unsure of her decision. She wasn't happy to be seen at her most miserable by Enid, but every time she saw her she would magically feel better. As soon as she thought about meeting Enid later, her stomach fluttered, chasing away the nausea from yesterday's treatment.
She looked at the time before realizing she should be getting ready. It wouldn't be appropriate to leave Enid alone waiting at the hospital. The thought of leaving Enid alone at the hospital made her quickly sit up and shuffle out of her bed.
"Okay" she mumbled
Gomez smiled at his victory
"Get out so I can change" she hissed
"Yes dear, I'll be out by the front door waiting for you" he said before walking out closing her door in the process.
She walked over to her drawer and picked out the clothes she usually wears. She decided whether to confess her feelings to Enid today. Probably not. She would rather spend the time with Enid right now. Enid was special to her and she didn't want to ruin their friendship just yet in case Enid didn't return the same feelings.

The ride to the hospital seemed longer than it usually did. It appeared like time moved slowly. But when she could finally see the tall building through the window she felt as if time started moving faster now that she had become anxious to see Enid.
Enid was at the hospital entrance waiting for them. She felt terrible about having Enid wait. Both her and her dad walked out of the car, and she walked ahead of him of course. When she was only about fifteen feet away from her she came running over surrounding her with her scent as the wear wolf embraced her like they hadn't seen each other since forever. But it had only been about a month or so.
And just with that hug Wednesday's heart beat was out of control. It felt like it was about to burst. Enid grabbed her hand as she led her into the hospital.
She didn't dare look back at her father knowing he would have a smirk on his face.
Enid watched as Wednesday got her blood work done to make sure that her levels were appropriate and that she didn't have any sign of infection. Thankfully her white blood cell count was appropriate. After getting told they were okay, they headed to the infusion area.
One of her favorite nurses greeted her who was also surprised to see her walking in with another person that wasn't her parents. She was mostly known to sulk in her usual spot in the corner not wanting any distractions like the small prizes they gave you after treatments. But the nurses were aware not to give any prizes, group activities, or allow superheroes or clowns near her. She was always as far away from others as she possibly could. And it would make sense if people thought she didn't have any friends. To be honest it's hard to believe it even when they were currently walking side by side with her dad behind them of course.
In Wednesday's case, being physically close to Enid became addictive. She felt drawn towards Enid like a magnet. Not being able to control her body was something she hated. In addition, she found it difficult to leave her. So when she took a seat on the chair she scooted over as far as she could so Enid could have some space to sit as well. It's very rude to leave a guest standing so you should always offer them a seat.
Enid also felt as if she was being pulled to be near Wednesday. It felt addictive to be near her. So when Wednesday offered her a place to sit next to her she immediately said yes to the offer. Although Wednesday had been struggling through all of this she understood why Wednesday hadn't been calling or answering her. The strength of Wednesday always impressed Enid. I wonder if she had abs. Anyway she was way more impressed with how strong Wednesday has been these past couple of months. This is because if she were in Wednesday's place she would have given up instantly.
She felt terrible seeing all the fluid flowing through the IV and into her friend's body. But she understood that these things kept her friend alive at the moment.
Gomez was currently reading so she decided to offer a distraction to all of this by doing what she does best. Talking. She leaned over whispering in Wednesday's ear talking about the schools latest drama. And to her utter relief she saw Wednesday's mouth shift into a small smile.
Gomez who was secretly watching them from the parents' chair was grateful that Enid had decided to come along with them today. The wear wolf really seemed to lift up Wednesday's spirits even when she was struggling through her darkest times. He was extremely grateful for Enid. His wonderful daughter-in-law.
After a while, Wednesday started feeling sick. Thankfully one of her favorite nurses came over to help.
"Want to treat your guest to a lollipop or two Wednesday?" The nurse asked
Wednesday looked over to Enid whose eyes lit up at the jar full of lollipops. She motioned for her to decide on one before she picked one for herself of course. Instead of picking her usual go to flavor she decided on a blue raspberry one since the black cherry one started tasting different due to her taste buds.
