Once Enid left to head back to Nevermore she was unhappy that she had to leave but was lucky she left because she somehow ended up waking up the day after Enid left feeling absolutely terrible.

Good thing she didn't have any appointments at the moment due to her first cycle finishing so she had herself a short break at the moment. So she wished to stay I bed all day and hoped nobody would come into her room to bother her.

But she knew not being bothered was too good to be true. Her mother opened the door slowly looking through the crack to see if she was awake. As soon as her mother saw she was awake she made her way to her bed to check up on her.

When she got up close to Wednesday she had finally noticed her face showing signs of discomfort and she was drenched in her own sweat. Her heart rate quickly sped up anxiously seeing her Wednesday like this.

"Hold on I'll be back let me grab the thermometer" she said before quickly leaving to get the thermometer. On her way out she also grabbed Wednesday's medicine and a bottle of water.

When she got back to her room Wednesday was still under her covers and still not moving. She walked over, placing the thermometer in her mouth, and was relieved to find that she immediately took it. She waited anxiously for the thermometer to beep.

When it finally did, it read 97.6. She let out a sigh of relief.

"Okay you're fine no fever. And here is your medicine take your time" she said handing her the water bottle and medication as she sat up slowly.

"Here let me help you" her mother said trying to help her sit up right

"No! I got it" she said finally sitting up straight. Why was her mother trying to help her sit up? Did she really look that week? She didn't need help. She was fine.

Though she preferred to stay under the covers, she knew this was the only thing to help her feel better at the moment. She grabbed the water bottle her hands visibly quivering as she tried to unscrew the bottle cap. After a couple minutes of struggling she finally got the cap unscrewed. She took her medication and drank a few sips of water.

Morticia watched as Wednesday drank the water noticing how much paler she looked at the moment.

"Do you feel like you are about to throw up?" Her mother asked her anxiously

She looked up at her mother instantly regretting it. Her mother's expression reflected a lot of worry. She nodded slowly looking down at her bed.

"Okay..." she said trying to think of what to do next "you can lay back down and just try to keep the medicine down. You can try to eat something small in an hour or two but at this moment just try to rest" her mother said before leaving the room.

After a while of trying to get into a comfortable position to be in she finally found one. She was currently under her covers too tired to even watch the TV her parents had put up in her room. She was so tired she couldn't even fall asleep.

The next morning Wednesday woke up feeling a bit better than yesterday. Today she had to be taken to the hospital to get a CT-scan done so they could see what the treatment did during the first cycle. Her mother took her to this appointment.

When they arrived at the area where she would be taking the CT scan. When one of the nurses let them in he brought them into an empty room. He gave her a liquid that would help them see the scan easier. He told her to at least try and drink five sips every three minutes. However, she quickly chugged the whole thing, enjoying every second. The nurses eyes widened before he left to call the radiographer in to take them in earlier.

The radiographer let them into the room where the X-ray would be taken. The machine looked like a giant donut with a popsicle stick inserted into it.

The radiographer asked her to change into the hospital gown they had given. She also asked her to take any thing that might have a medal in it, such as jewelry, her bra or anything in the area she would be getting the scan in. Her mother stepped outside waiting for her to finish up since she wasn't allowed in the room.

When she finished getting into the hospital gown the assistant let her onto the machine. They put a small tube in her arm. She tasted something metallic in her mouth but it quickly faded away. They positioned her so they could capture the right angle of the area they were getting.

When she was getting the scan she heard a wiring noise coming from the machine. This noise might have been from the scanner but she didn't care because the noise was strangely soothing to her. They told her to hold her breath a couple of times and before she knew it the scan was over. The radiographer came into the room with her mother while the assistant was taking out the small tube out of her arm.

After the scan they were told they could go home and that her mother would get a call back when they got the results.

When they got home Wednesday walked into her room so she could finally take a shower because she felt gross at the moment. She walked over to her drawer and picked out a plain hoodie Enid got her and sweats. She was going to be warm tonight for sure.

After her shower she walked over to her bed and immediately plopped down onto the soft comfortable mattress. Everything was quiet due to Pugsley being outside fishing with her father. Her mother was just quite in general when she didn't have anything or anyone to talk to but right now she was probably out in the garden.

She was pulled out of her thoughts by her phone clattering against her desk. She reached over to grab her phone to see who it was. It was Enid. She answered so fast you probably couldn't even see her fingers move.

"Hello?" She said first this time

"Hey Wednesday! What are you doing?"

"Nothing at the moment. Why?"

"I just wanted to see what you were doing that's all... but I was wondering if you could help me choose a present for Yoko"

"Um sure but why me? You could've asked Divina for help"

"It's because I'm her best friend and I should already know what to get her so it's embarrassing to ask her girlfriend what she would want."

"Okay.... how about you get her an axe?"

"Are you being for real Wednesday? If I get her an axe she'll literally go insane"

"Just get her an axe Enid. She'll love it and besides it's better than giving her socks like you did last year."

"Hey I didn't choose the socks, an automated wheel did"

"Enid that's even worse" she said with a chuckle

"Ugh okay fine I'll get her an axe but if she takes off on a killing rampage it's you I blame" Enid said seriously

"That fine with me"

"Oh shit, I gotta go sorry Wednesday it's just that principal Weems asked me to meet at her office in a couple of minutes"

"Okay that's fine, bye Enid."

"Bye Wednesday talk to you later okay" she waited for her to hang up first. Before she hung up she heard Enid say something but she couldn't quite make out what she said so she let it be.

She set her phone back down on the desk looking out her window noticing how dark it was now outside. How long was she on call with Enid for? Every time she hung out with Enid she noticed time seemed to move faster. What was going on with her?
