Wednesday couldn't help but feel relieved when the week was over. She was given the all clear so she could continue with her final treatment. Thankfully she didn't develop any viral symptoms like a fever because her own immune system finally decided to do its job and succeeded. And what was even better was that she could finally get away from her over dramatic parents who kept their eyes on her every second they could. With the long break she had it helped her feel way better than she had ever since she started her first ever treatment. And now that all of this was coming to an end, everything seemed much easier to endure.
After she had finished having her infusion she couldn't help but be in a great mood for the rest of the day. However, besides the feelings of the side effects she felt fuzzy on the inside. What was this feeling?
Later in the evening she had dinner with her family including thing who sat on her dad's shoulders while they ate. As she ate her body felt a feeling that she had trouble processing. She felt warm and chilly at the same time as it was warm and calm. What was this feeling?
And before she knew it, without realizing it she felt her lips curve upwards. A small smile appeared on her lips.
Are you alright for Wednesday? You seem to be.... happy" her mom asked from across the table
After her mom said that, something inside her made the feeling stronger. The feeling felt almost like when she kissed Enid. However, it also wasn't the feeling she got after torturing or revenge-taking one of her enemies. This feeling was different. It almost felt dizzying.
The only word that could describe this feeling is the word her mom had said earlier.
Happy.
She felt her smile grow bigger.
"You are happy dear" her mom said with a smile and walked over to her chair and gave her a tight hug. All of a sudden, everyone was in on the hug. They were all feeling the same feelings of happiness as the long tortured and challenging battle was finally coming to an end.

The second day of her last treatment flew by quickly and before she knew it she was on her last actual day of treatment. She felt like a giant weight weighing on her shoulders was finally lifted. Her whole family would be going with her today.
All five family members rushed to get ready and put their coats on. Uncle Fester bought her a beanie a couple of months ago to keep her round bald head warm. She's never taken it off since he gave it to her. It brought her a sense of comfort and it was just incredibly warm and comfortable.
The car ride to the hospital was filled with comforting silence. She was in an excellent mood today and nothing could stop her.
When they finally arrived they made their way into the infusion area where she would be getting hooked up to her IV for the last time. She sat in her usual corner of the room where she got her IV hooked up by the nurse she called her favorite. She'd done this so many times it was almost like braiding her hair. But this was Uncle Festers and Pugsley's first time witnessing this.
She didn't want the nausea she felt ruin this day so she went through five whole different lollipops and before she knew it she was finally done with her treatment. When it was finally time to take out the IV two nurses came over to her.
"You did it Wednesday!" Her favorite nurse said as the other took the IV out of her port "We're so proud of you Wednesday. I hope you understand how brave you truly are."
One the nurse was done taking her IV out she looked over at her parents.
"As for mom and dad you guys are so brave as well. I know it isn't easy to see your kids suffering but you guys made it through!" The nurse said before pulling them into a hug.
When they pulled away from the hug she could see her dad letting a few tears out but he quickly wiped them away. Her mom pulled her out of the chair she was sitting in.
"You heard that my little raven you made it!" Her mom said before covering her face with kisses. She usually didn't like being a victim of receiving physical affection in public but like she said before nothing could ruin her perfectly good mood.
Her favorite nurse led her outside and into a hallway where a bell hung from the wall.
"Time to ring the bell Wednesday" the nurse smiled at her. Before she could ring the bell the clown she had met on the first day of chemo came up behind her and put a black balloon crown on her head. Even though she hated celebrations like these where people did too much, she couldn't stop the bubbling feeling of joy creeping in.
The glare she gave the clown wasn't threatening like last time.
On the side of the bell there was writing that read "ring this bell three times well its toll to clearly say, my treatments are done its course is run and I am on my way"
As she rang the bell three times loudly she earned applause from her family and hospital staff that were watching. In addition, she earned applause patients and people that walked by.
She looked over at her family who smiled at her milestone.
"You did it Wednesday!" Pugsley smiled. The smile she gave her made it impossible for her not to smile back.
"Congratulations Wednesday. We will miss you but we couldn't be happier that you're leaving us" her favorite nurse said while opening her arms out for a hug.
Wednesday gladly accepted the hug "just so you know you were my favorite" she whispered to her before backing out of the hug.
"I'll respectfully miss nothing about this place," she said, causing some people to laugh.
And just like that she walked out of the place she liked to call hell with her family by her side.
