A couple of days later and it was finally the day where she would be able to get her scan. She had been so nervous about this scan and the results she would be getting a day later. What if I still wasn't better?
To help calm her nerves she brought Enid along.
Her leg bounced slightly while they waited to be called on. She looked over at her father who was also nervous since he stroked his mustache. All of a sudden a hand held hers. It was Enid. She could feel all her nerves go away.
Soon the technician from last time with the name of Karen came up to them with a sour look on her face.
"No friends in the room" the technician said like she still hadn't forgotten what happened last time.
"What about girlfriend's?" Enid asked using her most innocent and charming smile
"Not a chance" the technician answered "you are waiting outside, dad you can come in"

After she had finished the scan she was told she would have to wait again but luckily it was just till tomorrow.
Thankfully the next day came quickly. Her parents decided that it would be appropriate for Enid to stay back at the house just incase the news wasn't what they had hoped for. So once they left the house Enid, Pugsley, and Uncle Fester were all at home anxiously waiting.
They waited unpatiently in the waiting room to be called in by her doctor. But finally after what felt like hours but was only minutes they finally got called in by Dr. Martinez.
Once they got into his office and sat down he looked over at his computer before looking at them with a smile.
"Congratulations Wednesday! Looks like I won't be seeing you for a long time because you're as healthy as a horse."
Wednesday looked at him in astonishment. "So I don't need to do anymore treatments?" She asked
"See it for yourself." Dr.Martinez told her, pushing the scans for her to look at.
She looked over at her scan zoning out a bit while Dr. Martinez talked about how the treatment she had completed. She couldn't believe that she was finally going to be able to leave all this behind her. She couldn't wait to get home and tell Enid about the great news. She snapped out of her thoughts when Dr. Martinez addressed her.
"Before you leave today I would like to do a check up on you just to make sure everything is okay, since it is expected that the treatment will affect you in some way. We'll do a general exam at your three-month check-in and hopefully it will tell us if you are moving in the right direction."
Wednesday had no choice but to let Dr. Martinez examine her. Her check on her heart, weight, breathing, and vision. As she spent more time in the same room, she became increasingly impatient, wanting to tell the others, especially Enid, the news. She had already been told she was healthy so was this really necessary? Once Dr. Martinez had finished, she wanted to dash out the door as soon as possible, but he started asking her questions.
"From what I can tell you're doing well but if you could manage to put on a couple of pounds then that would be great. I'm very pleased with how well you are doing. We'll be doing a more thorough examination during your next appointment because of your scar tissue but aside from all this how are you feeling?"
"I feel perfectly fine" she replied quickly, wanting to get out of here. She looked up at the clock for the thousandth time today. Why was this taking so long?
Dr. Martinez smiled at her
"I hear that you are eager to head back to school" he said. "I'm happy to hear that but I do know from my other patients that the transition back to a regular life is quite exhausting in the first few weeks. You still may continue to struggle with some side effects for some time so just remember to rest when you need to."
