The car ride home was quite an experience. When her parents saw her with Enid, they didn't stop smiling at her; it annoyed her quickly, but she didn't have the time to complain about it. Though they were only an hour into the ride she had already started to miss Nevermore though she would never say that out loud.

Lurch had stopped, opening the door for them. Once she got out of the car she had noticed that they weren't home they had arrived at a store.... full of weapons in a sketchy town. Had her parents finally gotten annoyed with her enough to kill her? Oh how she would be so delighted.

"Why are we here?" She asked curiously walking in

"Well we thought since we had to take you away from Nevermore how about we get you a little something?" Her mother said.

"You can grab anything you like but only one" her father said looking at her

An invisible smile quickly spread across her face. She quickly walked over to the swords searching for a specific one. One that had just been released this year. She looked and looked until she finally spotted it in the corner of the store. She grabbed it, then looked at the price to make sure it wasn't too much money. She didn't want her family to fall broke. She checked the price and it was 530 dollars. She set it back down knowing it was way too much money.

"What's wrong my little raven? Don't you want it?" Her father asked

"Well, yes but it costs way too much" she said looking up at him

"Just get it hun nobody's stopping you" her mother said grabbing it and handing it to her

She smiled a little and said, "Thank you."

Once they got home she immediately headed to her room. She was too tired to talk to anyone right now. Thing followed her up the stairs and went straight to his cozy area in the corner of her room. She took her shoes off grabbing some pajamas from her drawer quickly changing into them knowing Lurch would be barging in with her bags.

Once she got her bags, she knew she didn't want to take everything out of them. This was so she could remind herself that she would be returning back to Nevermore. The only things she took out were her clothes, thing's stuff and her typewriter and the present she had received. She knew she was way far behind in her writing so she decided to write right now while she was extremely tired. By the time she was finished with the second paragraph she was basically falling asleep sitting up. However, she had to keep writing because like she said she was really behind in her writing.

Her father had walked in on her asleep while her head was in her arms. He sighed looking at her. He just wanted to scoop her up and rock her in his arms just like he had done to her when she was just a tiny baby. But he knew she wouldn't like that so he woke her up telling her to go tbed. She obviously agreed because she was too tired to argue with him.

She woke up in the middle of the night with her head pounding. Walking over to her desk, she grabbed the painkillers and took them right away. At this point she was too awake to fall back asleep. She looked over at the box on top of her bag. She grabbed it and pulled out the phone and looking through it. It only took Wednesday a few minutes to figure out how it worked. Once she saw all the apps they had downloaded for her she couldn't help but start to like the electronic box.

The phone vibrated against her hand. A notification popped up on her screen. When she saw Enid calling, she answered quickly, not wanting to leave her waiting.

"Hey Wednesday what are you doing?" Enid asked her

"Nothing" she responded her voice raspy

"Did I wake you up? Oh my gosh, I am so sorry Wednesday"

"I've been up for a few hours Enid you're fine" she chuckled

"Ok good" Enid replied rejoicingly "so how are things back at home?"

"It's working well but it's so boring here there is nothing to do" she complained

"Yeah? Well it's kinda boring without you here I think I'm starting to hallucinate without you here its just so quiet"

"I hate to admit it but I miss you too. I think I'm starting to miss your annoying music"

"Hey! My music isn't annoying. You can just keep lying to yourself. I know deep inside your heart you love it."

"I don't love your terrible choice of music. There are so many other types of music and you choose the most annoying" she said yawning.

"Are you tired? Maybe you should take yourself to bed already. It is like three in the morning Wednesday" Enid said.

"I'm not tired, and I don't want to leave you alone"

"Aw Wednesday how kind of you, but you need your rest" Enid said softly

"Are you sure?" she asked

"Yes I'm sure" Enid said with a giggle, "good night, talk to you soon"

"Goodnight Enid" she said before hanging up

When she pulled the charger out of the box, she connected it to her phone and plugged it in to the wall. She then began to undo her braids as she did so. When she was done she walked over to her bed climbing in and covering herself with blankets.
