22. birthday

Wednesday could feel herself start to wake up to the smell of cake. Wait... pancakes? She slowly opened her eyes rubbing the sleepiness out of them before standing up from her bed. She instantly felt a wave of dizziness hit her. She quickly sat back down on her bed not wanting to repeat the incident that happened last time. She slowly got up and shakily walked across the floor and into the bathroom. The cold tile floor made her wince slightly. She looked over at her tooth brush gulping nervously knowing it would hurt to brush her teeth. She had recently started discovering sores in her mouth while brushing her teeth the other day. And she's willing to be honest they hurt like a bitch. She shed a tear that morning but this morning she hoped it wouldn't be as terrible.

When she finished brushing her teeth she walked down the stairs in her usual oversized black hoodie and matching sweats Enid gave her last year. She also wore a normal pair of socks to protect her feet from the awfully cold floors. She turned a corner before walking into the kitchen where her mom and dad were cooking. As she got closer to them her dad seemed to notice her appearance

"Good morning my little raven!" He said before sticking his head into the fridge to look for something

"Morning" she muttered before walking over to her mom who was at the stove

"Morning dear, how do you feel about having a couple of friends over?" her mom asked her still keeping her eyes on the stove.

"What? Why?"

"Did you really forget? Today is your birthday?"

"Oh" I can't believe she really forgot today was her birthday. "How many people can I invite over?"

"Uhm how about only six? Just make sure the ones you are inviting aren't sick or anything"

"Okay thanks mom" she says before walking back up the stairs and into her room grabbing her phone before flopping down onto her bed to text the people she was intending to invite.

Once she had finished inviting everyone to her birthday all she had to do now was wait. There was also one thing she had to figure out how to do. How to make herself look like her former self. Which was almost completely impossible. With her hair, feeding tube, and weak frame there was no way she would find a way to make herself look like her usual self. She could hardly pick up a fight with her brother anymore which just means she won't be able to pick up an effective fight with Bianca or Yoko. This is going to be boring.

She said down at her bed deciding whether she should turn the mirror around or not cause she had to make sure she looked right for Eni- for the guests cause she didn't want to look like some random homeless person spending the day in someone's house.

After a while she finally made her decision. She would not be turning the mirror around so she could see her reflection. She would just put her hood on, hopefully that does the job cause there is no way she's gonna be buying a wig. She called thing over so he could grab her shoes for her since she was currently unable to move away from her bed because it was just too comfortable. When she finally got her shoes on she made her way downstairs. As soon as she stepped down the stairs, she heard a knock at the front door.

She quickly made her way to the door so she could beat her parents into opening it knowing they would say something to embarrass her. She opened the door immediately and was greeted with happy birthdays and presents. She told them to leave any presents on the table in the kitchen before letting everyone in and showing them into the living room. Enid, Yoko, Divina, Bianca, Eugene, and Ajax were all here. Don't ask why Xavier wasn't here... it's because I hate him. She got pulled into the hallway by Enid when everyone was settling in.
