*Time Skip*
Once Paul was recovered and Dawn was lecturing him on how he should've dodged quicker, Summerchu did something surprising.
"Now that you two are safe..." Her smile is replaced with a mischievous smirk, lifting her hands up in front of herself. Her eyes shine yellow, using her psychic power once more to push the two together, "... Kiss!" The two opposites come in contact with one another, pecking each other on the cheek.
"I failed..." Summerchu teary eyed, crouched down in a corner of shame. The shameful background surrounds her, the mood is turned gloom and cunfusing.
"Summerchu, perk up," Maddy tells her, placing a hand on her shoulder, trying to cheer her up.
"I can't... I failed at my ship!" She mutters, pulling her knees inward and burying her face in her lap. Maddy crouches down next to her and gives her a small hug, a memory of pain enters her mind followed by a happy one.
"Hey Summerchu?.."
"Hm?.."
"I got something..."
"Oh..."
"It's for you..."
"I don't want it..."
"I guess I'll eat this big chocolate bar all by myself then!" Maddy exclaims, pulling out a very, and I mean very big chocolate bar from thin air. Summerchu sits up straight, energy soars through her, her entire body is consumed by flames with psychic energy covering her flames.
All their eyes widen, nervous and terrified smiles plastered on their faces except for the three girls and pokémon who were used to this sort of change in emotion. Even Paul had a terrified look in his eyes, trying hard not to look scared, only to have a constipated smile crumpled onto his once stone cold face. "M-Maddy, what have you done?" He asks, a sliver of nervousness in his voice, barely noticed by his friends and Dawn.
"P-Paul?" Dawn stutters out, glancing at him for a second before a voice yells out.
"CHOCOLATE!!!!!!!" Summerchu shouts, turning around to show her eyes filled with stars. She jumps up and tackles Maddy, attempting to snatch the sweet.
"Here!" She yells, throwing the bar in the air, Summerchu springs up using quick attack, grabbing the chocolate. She ascends down, landing on a water bed, tearing off the wrapper quickly before shoving the chocolate in her mouth.
"This is delicious! Did Matthew give this to you?" Summerchu asks in between chews. Maddy faces downward, her amused expression falls into an angered one, she fists her hands, clenching her teeth.
"Maddy?.. What's wrong?" Misty asks, coming over to her and placing a hand on her shoulder. Her eyes flicker up at Misty's before returning to gazing at her feet. In those few seconds, Misty could tell something wasn't right and that the 'Matthew' guy Summerchu had mentioned inflicted some sort of pain to Maddy. "What'd he do?"
"I don't wanna talk about..." She replied, her eyes welling up with tears, straining herself from crying.
"C'mon, you can tell us..." Misty assures her, squeezing her shoulder before looking up at the group scattered around them who're listening intently with caring eyes(*cough cough even cough Gary cough choke*). "Right guys?"
A chorus of 'Yeah's and 'Of course's are heard throughout them. She looks up at them, allowing them all to see the pain and sadness, the tears forming and threatening to fall even worried the guys.
"My enemy asked him out and... And..." Her face scrunches up from her not allowing herself to cry, her throat feeling as though it's closing up. She drops to her knees, tears streaming down, her voice yelling out in hurt, "And he accepted! He accepted even though he knew I didn't like her! He knew! How could my best friend do this to me?"
