-Ash's POV-
I smile a goofy smile, standing up energetically, trying to get my mind off my assignment. "Hi, my name is Ash Ketchum from Palletown and this is my buddy Pikachu," I gesture towards the electric mouse perched on my right shoulder.
"Pika pika!" He cheers, lifting a paw up. I laugh at his action, continuing.
"I'm going to become the greatest Pokémon Master there is!" I declare, lifting my left arm in front of me, my hand curled into a ball, feeling determined. A couple girls start squealing, staring at me with these small hearts in their eyes, Please don't let this be what I think this means!
"May, please introduce yourself." Professor Oak says, motioning for me to sit down, which I do.
~May's POV~
I stand up from my seat, smiling at everyone in the classroom, clearing my voice I speak. "I'm May Maple and I'm from Petalburg City; I'm a coordinator who wants to become a Top Coordinator!" I exclaim, both determined and happy to share what I like to do.
"Hey, isn't your father the Petalburg Gym Leader?" A boy asks in the classroom.
"Yeah, he is," I reply before sitting down, resting my cheek on my palm, wondering to myself as the class begins to talk amongst themselves rather loudly. I begin to mutter to myself softly, opening up a spare sketchbook from my new backpack, doodling inside it.
"How'd I get stuck with an arrogant guy like him as my assignment?"
"Because," A familiar male voice replies arrogantly through the earpiece I have hidden behind my hair. I let out a huff in annoyance, continuing to draw.
"That's not a very good answer. Besides, I wasn't asking you," I reply harshly, keeping my voice to a minimum.
"May, just focus on you assignment! And try to get along with him!" He scolds me, I roll my eyes at him, closing my sketchbook.
"You shouldn't be talking, Green." I shoot back, trying not to go beyond a whisper, slipping it back into my backpack.
"Oh yeah, why's that?" He asks, knowing him he's smirking.
"Because you and Blue don't get along," I state rather proudly, folding my arms over my chest, crossing my leags and lean back in my chair, smirking.
"..."
"Green doesn't have a comeback now, does he?" I ask in a teasing tone, sitting up straight in my seat.
"We'll discuss this later," He mutters, turning off his earpiece. I look at the front of the class, Prof. Oak finally managed to calm to class down.
"Misty, you're up," Prof. Oak says in relief of getting the room so quiet.
-Misty's POV-
I stand up, Togepi stirring in my arms. "My name is Misty Waterflower, I'm the Gym Leader of the Cerulean Gym, I want to become a better gym leader than I already am," I state proudly, Togepi chirping its name happily.
"Where'd ya get that Togepi?" A voice asks, his voice full of curiosity.
"This Togepi is my second Togepi... My first one evolved into a Togetic and stayed someplace, in which I'll not name, to take care of the rest of the Togepi... This little one is from Togetic's family... A gift," I state softly, my eyes watering slightly, sitting back down to avoid eye contact with anyone besides my Togepi.
"... Next up is... My grandson," Prof. Oak tells the while class, looking quite touched by my story. I brush away the tears, holding Togepi closer.
