love

Why do we fall in love
If we know it's not the same
For the other person?
Why do we fall for someone
Who's so unrealistic?

It's a trap, a way to break us
Control our hearts in a way
That we'd burn the world down
To keep you safe

Tear us down, make us drown
Say it's a sin to be happy
Well they cannot stop me
Because I love you
Even if you don't love me

Lock me down, lock me away
Trap my heart, strike it with a stake
Tear it from my chest,
That's what it'll take

I scream and shout
I let it all out
But when I try to break free
It's so hard to see
The end of this road
It's alluding me

It takes a while for me to know
How to move on without your own
Hand in mine,
It's such a sin
To go on without the one I love
But perhaps it's just not time
I just don't know

Having trouble reading the situation
Don't know what's right or wrong
In this strange position

So I'll just bottle it up
Ignore it some more
And pretend it doesn't kill me
To not know anymore
