the void

Locks and keys
And mysteries
Lost to the webs of fate
Times changing and it's great

Never seeing the end
Only the beginning
It's time to make amends
For all we've been dreaming

It's like the world's ending
And we were just born
Just starting our lives
Fresh in the morn'

It's time we say goodbye
To all those twisted lies
And the dark deceptions
Of our parents lives

Twisted every way,
What matters is all that's good
Is all is said and done
Not coming undone and shattering your heart,
Your very soul breaks
It kills you deep down
To know that this is your fate

What horrors wait for me?
What twisted fate is mine to live?
And why can't I escape
This horrid, twisted landscape
All this madness waits for me
Oh god, if I agree
What will I see?
What horrors and lives will I grieve?

In this darkness that I know
Cannot be fought
Cannot be stopped
And this world that never forgets
So rarely forgives
These sins are not mine alone to bear
And this screaming darkness isn't mine, it's not fair

In the darkness which I live in,
Can I be free?
Can I one day see the light again?
Because, oh god, I wish I could....

I wish I could be free
But these horrors,
They wait for me
'Round every corner ....
I think I'm past the point of no return now
Nothing will ever be the same, now

Like how am I going to survive
When all I do is exist
In this darkness with a sick twist
And the void that swallows me up inside

It's been said many times,
And so many different ways
Yet the message remains the same

If you stare at the void,
Sometimes, the void stares back
