Ladies guy

For a while the hero was stuck at the hospitel again, the exhaustion, alcohol and burns really messed him up. How often was this going to happen?

"Hey number two, happy to get released today?" It was Mirko who decided to spontaneously visit him. She brought some snacks and also wasn't wearing her costume but an oversized shirt with biker shorts and sneakers.

For a moment Hawks wondered if it was really Mirko, he loved her style! "Hey there, woah- you got me dark chocolate?" Hawks chuckled and made some space so the rabbit hero could sit down too. "You're just too generous."  She would have given him a heads up beforehand but his phone had melted in the fire together with his jacket.

"Yeah, of course i am." Mirko giggled and handed him the chocolate, eyeing the other hero. Hawks bandaged arms fell into her eyes and she huffed. 

"So you're saying he didn't kill you when he had the chance?" All serious now she crosses her arms.

It was hard to grasp that apparently the villain left him there, sparing his life.

So Hawks nodded in embarrassment. "Actually, it's the third time." His smile died, now staring at his arms too. The burning pain had been unbearable but never ever would he have let go.

"The WHAT?"

Hawks body twitched and now he felt even worse. And Mirko? She just started laughing. Not for a moment did she believe it.

"You're messing with me, stop that. Why would he not kill you three times?" Her eyes formed to two slits and her rabbit ears went up skeptically. It was too cute but Hawks didn't say anything. He just bit his tongue, wanting to explain what had happened between them. But it was impossible.

"It's just, argh how do i say this?" The hero couldn't contain all his thoughs and blasted out everything at once. And it did not sound pretty.

"So everytime we met, we fight and go absolutely crazy on eachother. He burns me every damn time because I stand no chance against fire and so of course-" He stops for a moment. 

"We made out."

A loud shriek echoed through the hospital. Scaring every bird within a one mile radius away.

Mirko was stunned and her whole body was frozen. She might as well could have suffered a heart attack just now. And Hawks? He just awkwardy smiles at her, not charming at all. He knew this type of reaction would come but he wasn't able of keeping this secret for much longer.

The rabbit hero paused again to collect herself, but Hawks put in his word again first. "So, don't tell anyone please. It's not going to happen again but i mean, because of this he's incapable of killing me now." He gives her a thumbs up. "We fought at the rooftop and i grabbed his hands?"

Mirko stumbled over her words, trying to comprehend what the bird man just confessed to her. Damn, she didn't realize they were this close already. To spill secrets like this! It was like in school inside the girls locker rooms, gossiping and talking trash all the way.

"What kind of sick enemies to lovers bullshit is this madness." Normally there was nothing that could throw her off, but of course, Hawks just smashed her brain with this. Her voice got a little louder and she leans towards Hawks saying "You making out with a villain? With a MAN?"

"Pssssst!" He growled and poked her forehead. Telling her to not scream this information around.

If the wrong ears heard this, he'd be deadmeat. Especially for the media.

Then he also realizes, Dabi was Endeavors son. He made out with his role models kid? Not too bad, if he wasn't one of the nations most feared villains. A fucking hot one too.

Again, Mirko just stares at him- completely perplexed. "I won't tell anybody, but god damn. Never ever did i think you'd ever even think about touching a man. Or just Dabi in general!"

"yeah, it just happend. Usually he just chokes me while we fight but somehow, it just happened man! I can't explain this crap!"

His ears turned red and yeah, it was hard to believe. Even for him. But one thing he had to ask her. "Wait, you're suprised i made out with a guy rather than with a villain?" Hawks scrunches his eyebrows together, wondering what was going in in the rabbit heros mind.

"I've made out with villains before and put them in jail after, not very hero like of me either." a smirk formed on her lips. "Plus, you're a ladies guy. A player even."

Should've expected that from her i guess?

He sighed and fell backwards on his pillow. "Yeah, so I was safe from media. This is actually my first time coming out to someone and you're not handling it very well..."

Immediately she jumps up saying "Oh no, I love gays! I'm not judging you, was just surprised because no one ever questions your sexuality,"she giggles rather manly.

"Don't you worry, I'll murder any idiot who makes stupid comments." And with that she throws herself on top of him. The number two hero didn't mind actually, he likes cuddling and hugs. So he just hugs her back, now happy for having a friend like her.

I can trust her, she's been just a colleague but I'm sure we'll get along very well in future too.

But now it was time to get back at the paranormal liberation front, now that Dabi can't kill him. Hawks wasn't sure if he'd be able to do it either but it needed to be done.

He let his feelings get in his way too often, but not anymore.

"I know what you're thinking. Bet it's 'I can kill him now, because he won't kill me. Right?" Mirko backed off a little and now sat on the bed with crossed legs.

She had this look on her face, a look of knowing him way too good already.

He shrugs and then nods. "Yep, absolutely right."
