Temporarily dumb

Hawks felt dizzy when the nurse rushed in, she quickly checked his vitals and then threw a smile in his direction. "Looks good I'd say, now we just have to test for memory loss, disorientation and so on."

The lady turned to Mirko and All Might. "Do you mind helping me with this?" she pulled two chairs to the bed and gestured them to sit. The two did not waste a second and sat down. Toshinori especially looked very tense.

Bullshit, I'm fine. Hawks thought and huffed.

He looked at Mirko and opened his mouth to talk, but he quickly realized that something was off. Now the nurse pulled out her documents and started with the questioning. "So, do you know who you are?" she begins with a simple question and Hawks just sighs.

"Of course I know, I'm Hawks." The blonde looks through the room and meets eyes with All might who was smiling at him. It made him feel welcome and safe. But again, when he looked at his face there was something missing.

"Your name, what was your name?" He blurted out and now the room fell dead silent while Hawks was busy analyzing All Mights facial features. "Don't get me wrong, I remember you but your name is missing." He plays with his hands nervously and watches as the nurse dramatically writes it down on her notes. Nothing to worry about, must be just the names that are gone.

Now All might scooches closer to the bed on his chair, putting a hand on the mattress. He answered "I'm Toshinori Yagi, hero name All might remember?"

The former hero puffs up in his muscle form and then deflates after a moment. Coughing up blood. "Huh, now that you say it." Hawks looked closely at his face. "Yeah, again don't worry. I just needed help with the name." The wing hero now looked at Mirko, scrunching his eyes in confusion. She then sighs with a frown and also gets a little closer too. "Mirko or Rumi."

The nurse stops writing for a moment. "Okay, missing names. I can also hear you slurring your words a little. Completely understandable after a head injury like yours."

Out of nowhere All might interrupted her. "Wait, what was that about earlier? You were worried about something you forgot." He glanced at Hawks who seemed to be a little slow right now. Of course he's slow, he almost died! Ah right, there was this feeling. He bites the inside of his cheek and thinks about it. "I'm not sure, all I know is there was something important he told me. I just know." Hawks very quickly noticed the two heros staring at him with big eyes. "What?"

"Who are you talking about?" Now Hawks realized they didn't even know what had happened. Should he tell them the truth?

"Dabi, he broke in and-" He stops in the middle of the sentence, trying to figure out how to not tell them he slept with the villain. Mirko already was all ears when she heard his name. "Aaaaand?" she nosily lifts an eyebrow. "wait, I'm trying to remember!"

Patiently they stare at him again just like earlier. "Ugh, I feel like I'm dumb." he sighs and Mirko answers without missing a beat "Aww, c'mon. Temporarily dumb okay?"

Hawks just dramatically exhales, it was useless trying to cheer up now. "I'm very sure he told me something I wasn't supposed to know, most likely why I ended up like this." All might leaned back in his chair and nods saying "That makes sense, however he just as well could have done this for no reason. He is a villains who is trying to kill you after all." Now he got Hawks in a trap, only Mirko got what the number two hero was trying to say. She at least knew about the situation between Hawks and Dabi.

I need to tell her, fuck.

"Would you two maybe step out for a moment?" He asked All might and the nurse and they reluctanty walked out. Leaving Hawks alone with his work bestie.
