Are you falling in love?

While Hawks and All might were driving to god knows where, the winged hero started feeling the pain even stronger than before. His head was pounding and his mouth was dry from breathing in smoke.

Did he take it too far?

His mind wandered around the weirdest topics while he was slipping in and out of conciousness. For example, does Dabis camera he hid in his lamp still work? He hadn't thrown it away or anything, he just left it in a bag and forgot about it. It couldn't be that he heard everything that went down with him and Endeavor, right? The bag had been right next to them the whole time.

To be honest, he didn't care if he heard. Except the part where he said he would want to have his babies. Oh my fucking god, i want to crawl under a rock an die.

The embarresment started sinking deep into his skin and then he also remembered what had happened with All might back then. How he had walked in on him and his employee getting it on in the staircase. Loudly he groaned and caught All mights attention with it. "Does something hurt?" 

"He shot a fireball at me twice and i crashed into a building made out of metal and whatever. What do you think is the answer?" his voice was dripping with sarcasm and All might just laughed nervously. The former hero parked the car and got out of his seat. Hawks also tried to get out but his legs were too weak. "Need a hand?" the blonde asked and helped him up and put one of his arms around his shoulder.

Now he also realized they arrived at UA. You'd think all the roads lead to rome, but nope, they lead to UA.

"What are we doing here?" Hawks muttered under his breath and just carefully walked with the other blonde. Together they made their way through the security barrier and up to the nurse station. All might answered honestly "When I heard that Endeavor attacked you, I thought that maybe you're sick of ending up in the hospital again. So why not bring you here to recovery girl?"

There was a small grin on his face when Hawks sighed relieved. Wow, that's really thoughtful of him.

"How can I even thank you, I would've vomited rainbows if I woke up in the fucking hospital." they shared a laugh and soon arrived at the big door that said 'Recovery girl'. Hawks liked the little grandma a lot, she had this neutral feeling to her.

God, my head. In his mind he was screaming, but outside he barely showed any signs of pain. "Ah, and you might wanna not cut your hair this time. It might be too short then."

"My hair? Fuck no." Hawks realized the fire had hit him in the face again, he pats his head for any burnt hair and there it was. The side of his front hair was burn off again, he didn't wanna go with a buzzcut so he seriously would just leave it like that. At least my hair is my least biggest problem right now, but still.

When All might helped him lay on the bed he just sighed one more time, getting a worried look as a response.

"And your beard, that's gone too." "Noo!"

"Don't you worry, it'll grow back!" recovery girl cheered him up and closed the door behind her, she walked up to the two and scanned them up and down. Her gaze stopped at Hawks who she deemed as barely conscious. "Looks like you'll need a kiss, young man."

"Wait, a kiss?" Hawks didn't get what she was implying, last time he got treated by her he was knocked out from shock.

He made a worried face and got up on his elbows as the old lady already hopped up on a chair and gave him a big kiss on the cheek. "Chuuu!" and then it was over already. He could have sworn she enjoyed doing that a little too much. His body froze for a moment and the pain slowly dissapeared, the throbbing headache went away and instead a big wave of tiredness washed over him. 

Like the energy was being sucked out of him. "You're gonna feel a little sleepy now, my quirk only fastens your own healing power so it'll drain a lot of your energy. Rest here until you feel fit again, is that alright?" she hopped off the chair waiting for a response but there never came one, Hawks had started snoring quietly only seconds after the kiss.

A little smile snuck on All mights face seeing the blonde sleep like that, Hawks was like another problem child to him and he gladly took it upon himself to help out. 

Endeavor is going to get a hard punishment for this, attacking an ally one day before our final fight and weakening him? Unacceptable. Toshinori understood how much of a shock it muste be to hear that, the whole situaton was absurd but still, they had to accept and trust Hawks. He was an important part of their plan.

"I'll go then, Toshinori. Are you planning on staying with him?" "I would, but there's no reason for me to just watch him sleeping. Keep an eye on him okay?" the blonde looked around the room, suddenly realizing there was a phone on the ground. Oh, he must have dropped his phone! He thought and went to pick it up, the battery was dead so he thought he'd be nice to go and plug it in. 

"I'll plug his phone on the charger here if you don't mind?" and recovery girl just shrugged her shoulders. Shortly after both of them left the room to let him sleep. 

While the number two hero was resting and healing, Dabi was in his hideout frustratingly burning a piece of furniture. His shoulders stiffened and his gaze went back to the laptop.

He heard everything, every single word. How was he supposed to react? This stupid bird hero, i can't believe him.

Never ever did he even see the possibility of someone talking to his father like that, about him! He was angry, frustrated but flustered at the same time. Even though he hadn't been able to see what happened, the microphone caught up the sounds. All the feelings he had just burst. This was a dangerous game they were playing and now his father knew too, the hero's knew too!

He forced himself to calm down and sank into the couch, letting his head drop back. His body cooled down. The words Hawks said lingered in his mind, like it was a recording. 

Unlike you, he has a heart somewhere. Something to be loved!

Upon hearing that, a new flame awakened inside Dabi. A warm one you could put your hand in without getting burned.

That's weird, he strongly believed he didn't show his heart to Hawks. But maybe he did without realizing. What was this excitement swelling up inside his chest? Is he feeling good or bad about it? A notfication popped up on his phone, something he should have seen coming. 'Number one hero attacking Hawks, what could possibly be going on??'

As he was figthing the urge to burn everything in sight, his body send him a signal, something he understood. The want to see him. He missed Hawks, he wanted to protect him from this monster called his dad. Endeavor, the man who dared to raise his voice on his beloved-

wait, his what?

What was Hawks to him, he had no idea. Dabi closed his eyes and tried to relax but a high voice interrupted his thoughts. Toga sat down next to him, her arms crossed with a nosy stare. "Already heartbroken, Dabi-nii?" she grinned and dodged a small flash of flames aimed at her. "Looks like you're madly in love, do you want me to kill him instead?"

"Madly in what?" Dabi opened his eyes in annoyance, the word love suddenly hitting him off guard. He had fought so desperately to stay away from this word, but now it was here. And he realized pretty fast she could have been right. But he would never accept that.

Am i even capable of falling in love?
