Yours till the end/JJ Maybank story

Chapter 35

Me, JJ, Pope, and Kie decided to have a small memory for JohnB and Char. Me and Kie got a wooden box and put a few of there bracelets in there and a picture of them together. JJ and Pope burn a heart with there names and dates of birth and death on the big oak tree in the front yard of the Chateau.

"To JohnB" JJ said lifting his flask up. "And to Char" I said softly and raised my beer up so did Pope as Kie placed the wooden box in a little hole we dug then we all placed a flower onto and covered the hole. After that Kie and Pope layed in the hammock and I sat on a low hang tree branch with JJ who was cutting a small branch with his knife and we just hung out the rest of the night then Pope and Kie went home me and JJ lived at the Chateau we pay the bills with what little money we make. JJ and I gave each other a stick an poke that said P4L.

Me and JJ had to work today. "Jay" I said in my sleeping voice. "Hmmm" JJ groaned. "Babe we have to go to work" I said as I rubbed his back. "I really don't want to" JJ said honestly. "I know babe I don't either" I sighed. JJ rolled over facing me. "Your so beautiful" JJ said. "Thanks. Your very handsome" I said smiling at him. "Thank you baby" JJ said the kissed me passionately. Then we both got up and got dressed then we ate some breakfast then we got on JJ's dirt bike and went to work.

While at work all the kooks kept talking about JohnB and Char which put me in a mad mood it did the same to JJ. As I walked around checking on my tables JJ was filling up people's cups of water. Then JJ was filling up a cup of water at Topper's table while I was just a table away give a family their food and drinks.

"At least JohnB and Char got what was coming to them and it saved the expense of the trials. I'm just saying JohnB and Char are going to hell for what they did to Sheriff Peterkin" a kook girl said. "Guys they're still investigating" Topper said trying to shut down the conversation since JJ was filling there cups with water. "Yeah, I don't know why. It's obvious they did it" the look girl kept on.

"Yeah, exactly" Kelce said and JJ couldn't take it anymore. "Shut up" JJ said. "Listen" Topper said trying to calm JJ down. "Shut up Top" JJ said snapping I moved a little closer to JJ. "JJ, just walk away. It's not the time" Topper said still trying to stop a fight from breaking out. "I don't think we were talking to you, Pogue" Kelce said. JJ pick up a glass and a fork and hit the cup lightly to get everyone's attention as tears started to fill my eyes.

"Can I have everybody's attention, please? I have a little announcement to make! My best friends, JohnB and Char did not kill Sheriff Peterkin! Rafe  Cameron killed and shot the Sheriff in cold blood! That's what happened" JJ explained to everyone as my tears slid down my face. I knew something like this would happen. "Wow" Kelce said and I lost it. "Is that so hard for you to believe Kelce" I said and JJ look at me he could see the pain and anger in my eyes but his eyes held the same two things mine did.

"It is actually hard for me to believe because it's always the... the kooks fault. It's never the Pogue's fault" Kelce said and got in JJ's face. JJ pick up the water pitcher and dump it on Kelce. Kelce lunged at JJ, Topper got in between the two of them, JJ  was trying to push Topper off of him which gave Kelce a chance to get around Topper to get to JJ but as soon as Kelce lunged for JJ I stepped in a pushed Kelce as hard as I could causing him to fall.

"JJ, Steph" our boss called. "Yeah, we know, Raz. We know, we're fired" JJ said as we both walked up to our boss and handed him our work aprons. JJ wrapped his arm around my waist as we walked out, I could tell JJ was about to cry but I knew he wouldn't not in front of anyone except our friend group. "Hey ride safe back to the Cut, buddy. That's right, JJ and Steph, get the hell outta here" our ex boss yelled as we got on JJ's bike. Me and JJ both turned around and shot them birds.

"Get the hell outta here" he yelled again.  "Hold on tight baby girl" JJ said as I wrapped my arms tightly around his torso. JJ drove right into the flower beds and torn them to shreds with his bike as they yelled at us the we drove home.

When we got back to the Chateau JJ broke down. He missed JohnB and char just as much as I did. I held him tightly as I cried with him. After we finished crying I lead him to the bathroom and turned on the hot water as I let the water warm up me and JJ took off our clothes. I turn on the old water and adjusted it to our liking then we got in we both took a quick shower then we just stood there holding each other as the warm water ran down our bodies.

We got out after that band I made us some dinner then we went to bed after all we have school tomorrow. Then next morning me and JJ got up and got ready for school, Kie and Pope were coming to pick us up. Kie parked the car and got out so did Pope. JJ got out and turned back toward the open car door and looked at me and took a quick sip from his flask then handed to me and I did the same before giving it back to him and he put it in his backpack.

"Guys chill out" Kie said. "If we black out, just don't remind us" JJ said shutting the car door after I got out then he held my hand. "That's not funny" Pope and Kie said. "It's funny to me" I said JJ smiled lightly at me and kissed my cheek. As we walked towards the school students started whispering and chatting about us how they didn't expect us to show up or how they wonder how were holding up as if they care.

A big rock was covered in pictures of Char and JohnB with there names spray painted on it. "I feel like people are starting at us" Kie said. "Really you think so" I snapped I hated when people stared, JJ rubbed his thumb on the back of my hand calming me down. "Guys I can't be late" Pope said and started working to walk off.

"Hey, we gotta stick together" Kie said and held her hand out to Pope. Pope grabbed her hand then she looked back at me and JJ we walked up to her then we walk side by side into school. God today is going to be hell.
