Lisa was glad that she only had one lesson left before she could go home.
First, ethics was one of the less tiring subjects.
Of course, it wasn't exciting, but it was easy to participate, and the teacher was nice. And secondly, it was the only subject in which she sat next to Jisoo.
This was because both Rosé and Jennie had religion.
Lisa, as a Buddhist, had logically opted for ethics instead.Jisoo was different from Jennie.
She seemed to be kinda quiet, but when she said something she was so uncomfortably honest it was almost funny.
In addition, the dark-haired girl did not hesitate to discuss with the teachers. Many teachers liked this attitude, others felt attacked in their supposed position of power and gave her worse grades. But best of all were Jisoo's almost silent, ironic comments about her classmates and teachers. Lisa was sure that the older girl was talking to herself and enjoyed the comments all the more.
"Just because he commented critically on your first sentence doesn't mean you suddenly have to change your mind to suck up to him...",
was one of her comments to a classmate.
Lisa just grinned silently.
Jisoo must have noticed a while ago that Lisa was listening to her remarks, since she kept leaning in her direction as she talked. And even though the two girls didn't usually talk to each other, Lisa liked to tell herself that she had built up some kind of friendship with Jisoo."... doesn't mean it's okay as a man to make out with another man, let alone fuck. It is not for nothing that there are two genders. The Government should definitely offer therapy to homosexuals."
Lisa widened her eyes.
She hadn't noticed when or how the conversation had developed in that direction. And she didn't like it.
She tried to process the sentence.
Offer homosexuals therapy?
Being into women as a woman was not a disease. The whole class remained silent, even the teacher did not respond to this discriminating comment of the student.
Although the class did not seem to agree with this statement, no one said anything.
Was it okay for someone to say something like that? Really?
Lisa felt attacked.
This statement hurt her, as if her classmate had looked her in the eye and said she was sick. You are sick!
Damn.
Lisa clenched her fists and tried not to get upset.
Relax, Lisa.
Ignore it. It's not there. You're great. Just as you are. So just ignore everyone else and-"Tell me, are you stupid?"
Jisoo's voice saved Lisa from a panic attack.
"Did you just imply that all non-heterosexual people are mentally ill?"
The boy looked at Jisoo.
"Abnormal. Yes. That's why there are special therapists who-"
"Please just shut the fuck up if you don't have anything intelligent to say. For real, I'm getting a headache from the shit that comes out of your mouth.",
Jisoo groaned and looked at the boy in disgust, who decided to defend his opinion.
"I don't see where homosexuality should be normal. There are two sexes so that you can reproduce. Anything that does not serve reproduction is unnatural."
"So if it were all about reproduction, wouldn't it be okay not to want children? So you take away women's right to decide for themselves whether they want children or not? Besides, there would be more idiots like you if life were reduced to reproduction."
"Just because you can't argue, you don't have to insult me.",
reproached her by the dark-haired boy, whose name Lisa could not think of with the best will in the world. Not that she cared.
