Lisa woke up relatively early, even though it was the weekend.
This was probably due to the loud "I'm home!" from Alice, who came in the door at half past seven, followed by a somewhat too motivated Rosé, who rushed out of the room to hug her sister, who was almost four years older.
When Lisa came out of her, or actually Alice's, room, still a little drowsy, she watched as Mason and Clare hugged their two daughters intimately. Both had taken the day off.
It didn't hurt.
Not like before.
Of course Lisa missed the good relationship with her mother, her father. But she had learned to ignore it. Instead, she was happy for Rosé, Alice, Mason, and Clare."Lis. What are you waiting for? Didn't you miss me?"
Alice asked with a wide grin as she held out a hand to Lisa. Lisa returned the grin and let her pull her into the group hug.
"It's good to be back home!",
the older of the two Park sisters sighed contentedly after she had freed herself from the embrace.
"Even though it's weird that it's so cold here. In Australia, we have summer right now. Autumn soon."
"I didn't get the feeling that you missed us. You've been in touch so rarely that I wondered if you'd met someone."
Rosé said teasingly.
Alice rolled her eyes playfully."College is tough, kiddo. I'm afraid it's not that easy to become a lawyer."
"Excuses upon excuses! School was never too important to you that you didn't call."
"The college parties in between were. But no, no interesting guys. The men in Australia might be cute, but I think I still prefer Koreans. Changing the subject, Chaeyoung, you dyed your hair!"
Rosé grinned with satisfaction.
"You like it?"
Her older sister shrugged.
"Nah. You can see the roots."
Rosé rolled her eyes.
"Of course! It's been a while. Lisa, help me! Tell her how good my hair color looks!"
Lisa, who until then had only listened to the bickering in amusement, raised her hands defensively.
"You know I think it suits you.",
she said.
Alice grinned wickedly."She's lying. Lisa is too nice to tell you the truth."
Rosé glared at her older sister and crossed her arms.
"I changed my mind! I didn't miss you! Lisa is a better sister than you."
Alice grinned and hugged Rosé again.
"I love you too, idiot."
The two sisters were interrupted when their mother called for breakfast. Amused, Lisa watched as the two girls hungrily munched on the pancakes. It was almost creepy how much the sisters' gestures resembled each other, and Lisa wished a little that she had siblings, too. Maybe a brother? Well, she had Bambam for that.
"How can you have such a good figure if you only eat?",
Mason asked with a laugh as he served them both fresh pancakes and then went back to the kitchen to make more pancakes for the hungry women in the house, but not without getting a kiss from his wife.
"Good genes."
Alice murmured.
Lalisa laughed."I think you guys just have a black hole instead of a stomach.",
