Jennie pulled Rosé recklessly behind her, ignoring Jisoo's shocked look. She had to suppress her laughter.
Who knows what Jisoo was thinking, why Jennie suddenly needed to talk to Rosé?"How do you think this ist gonna work?",
she asked the blonde-haired girl once the two of them were alone in an empty classroom, the classroom where student council meetings usually took place.
Rosé looked at the floor."I don't know. Lisa ist texting you a lot These days, so I just thought..."
"That we're friends now and I love wasting my weekend with her? Definitely not."
Rosé stared at her, obviously unable to answer her. Jennie's gaze softened a bit.
"Don't worry, I promised to help you, didn't I? So I have to get rid of Lisa before noon?"
Rosé nodded, smiling gratefully before frowning.
"I didn't tell you when my date was, did I?",
she stated.
"You didn't. But Jisoo told me when her date was. Since you happen to have a date on the same day, it wasn't hard to figure out the full story.",
Jennie explained with an ever-widening grin, while Rosé blushed more and more at the same time.
"Jennie..."
"I won't tell anyone about this, don't worry. But I assume that means no one knows that you... like women?"
Rosé sighed, reliefed, and shook her head.
"Well, yes, sort of. But that's not actually the problem. The people who care won't have a problem with it, the rest I couldn't care less about. It's just... I just want to... manage with it myself."
The blonde girl smiled softly at Jennie, tilting her head slightly.
If her goal was to look cute so Jennie couldn't say no, she was pretty good at it. Just now, Rosé reminded her a lot of a begging golden retriever."That's why I need your help! If Lisa hears about this she'll either get overprotective, or try to give me tips. Probably both. And her tips will be... either way too cheesy or too good to ignore. But it's my date, not hers..."
Rosé interrupted herself when she realized she was rambling. She smiled apologetically at Jennie, leaving some things unsaid.
"I would say that I just don't have to tell her, but..."
"She lives with you, and she'll know if you suddenly start dating.",
Jennie finished Rosé's sentence, while the latter just nodded. Jennie thought about it.
"What about your mother?"
"She's not a problem. When Lisa's not home I'm out with friends a lot, so she won't find anything suspicious as long as I don't try to lie to her. Except, unfortunately, Lisa doesn't have driving lessons this weekend..."
"Which is why you need my help.",
Jennie said simply, as if that fact hadn't been clear since yesterday. She ran her fingers through her hair, taking a deep breath in and out before looking Rosé in the eye.
"Listen. The problem isn't that I don't like spending time with her. Lisa... she can be really nice. When she wants to be... I think."
Jennie more or less successfully ignored the blonde-haired girl's cheeky grin.
"The problem is, why would Lisa say yes? And volunteer to spend time with me, let alone — a whole day?"
Jennie said nothing about Jisoo's plans for an overnight stay, but in her mind she went over the possibility anyway. There was no way she could distract Lisa all night.
