Friday's student council meeting went incredibly well for Rosé, not least because there was food, as there is every Friday.
This time, however, it was from Jennie, who had brought everyone except Lisa a muffin.
Jennie had smiled slyly at Lisa, explaining that she had unfortunately forgotten that Lisa was Part of the student council and there was no muffin left for her, while at the same time smugly freeing her own muffin from the paper.
Lisa reacted amused, stealing Jennie's muffin right out of her hand and laughing when Jennie left her the muffin to take one of her own, as if she hadn't claimed there was none left just seconds before. The meeting itself was going really well too.
Everything seemed to be coming together, they had bought festival tents, so they could party in the schoolyard, the caterer had promised extra food trucks for the party and a couple of third year students had put the student council in touch with an electronics store who probably agreed to lend two very large speakers for the occasion.
There was no residential area around the school, but Jennie had checked with the city council to see if they could legally have the party, or if it would be disturbing the peace, and was directed to the office of public order to register the party. In short, the planning went even better than expected, and the members of the student council could hardly wait for the party.
If things continued to go this well, this year's fundraiser would be the most successful in school history, and even have a modern touch. It wasn't until she arrived home after school with Lisa that Rosé realized there weren't 24 hours left until the date.
But instead of getting more and more nervous with every passing second and panic searching for an outfit, as expected, she just became calmer.
She was excited, of course, but the joy was greater. Rosé didn't feel like anything could go wrong. She still kinda wished to drag Lisa into her room and excitedly tear her clothes out of the closets with her to put them on.
But only a little, for now she was enjoying how private the date was, how for the first time in years she really had something her family didn't know about. As much as she loved her family, it was hard to keep secrets, especially when you had a father who was a lawyer and could twist words in your mouth, and had a mother who could practically smell lies.
Not to mention a best friend who spent practically 24/7 with her for over a year, who was a little too nosy and overprotective.
She loved her family, and her family loved her at least as much.
Maybe even more so, if they even suspected that Jisoo wasn't the perfect first girlfriend for Rosé her father would surely find ways to put the older girl in jail, no matter what.
Her mother would question Jisoo mercilessly, and as loving as she could be, she was also creepy at times.
And Lisa would find ways to make Jisoo's body disappear, even though she might still like Jisoo now.
Yes, it was dangerous to date Rosé.Fortunately, thanks to Jennie, Rosé wasn't the only one with a date.
She forced Lisa to shower, who whined that she might as well do it after dinner, and quickly set aside clothes for tomorrow while Lisa was in the bathroom.
At dinner, she grinningly announced Lisa's date tomorrow, successfully distracting from herself while Lisa gave her sharp, reproachful looks and explained that she was only doing a favor for an acquaintance. After dinner, Rosé dragged Lisa to her room.
"Did Jennie say what you should wear?",
she asked as she opened Lisa's closet and looked critically at the contents.
"She said rather warm clothes. I don't know what she has in mind, though. What's the weather like tomorrow?"
Rosé looked at her cell phone.
"Sunny, up to 16 degrees."
Lisa tilted her head.
"Are you sure I should really dress warmly then? And why are you taking this so seriously? It's not like Jennie is serious 'bout this."
