As the daughter of successful and wealthy businesspeople, Jennie had never had much control over her life. Her privacy was limited, and of course she had to deal with being photographed without being asked, as if she were a celebrity.
As a child, she had to attend boring events and socialize with other young, sometimes arrogant, rich kids her age. That is, until she realized that she could use the importance of her education as an excuse to stay at home.

Her family situation alone was stressful enough, let alone this silly stalker story.
It was irritating, it threw her off. She now felt uncomfortable at school, the place where she used to feel safest.

Logically, her mood was absolutely ruined at the moment.

The fact that Jisoo had told her on Tuesday that Rosé wanted to tell her family about their relationship didn't make it any better. It had already been two days.
Jennie still didn't know whether Rosé had really told them.

That would mean no more dates with Lisa.

However, there were more important things to sort out. Like the problem about Jackson.

She had done a lot of research on him over the last two days. But not just about him.

Jackson Wang was 19 years old and smoked.
He had a driver's license, lived with his parents and was not currently in a relationship.

His friends included Rosé, Miyeon, Lisa and Bambam.

And even though Jennie couldn't care less, she had an incredibly bad feeling at the thought of Jackson being friends with Lisa.
Jackson might have something to do with the Hate account.
And if Lisa had something to do with Jackson, that could mean...

No.
Lisa hadn't liked her until a while ago, but she wasn't a bad person. Except for the fact that she beat up students... But that was in the past.
She would never support a stalker.

Especially not with you.

If Lisa hadn't liked her before, did that mean she liked Jennie now? At least a little?
Jennie was going mad, it certainly felt like it. Her heart began to beat faster everytime she thought of Lisa.

Jennie's desk was full of papers that had multiplied over the last few days.
Full of information about this Jackson, about her hate account, and all sorts of theories she had.
It was already dark outside, but the dark-haired girl was still working with great concentration.

Finally, she threw her pen against the wall in frustration.

"Shit. Why am I not getting anywhere?",

she muttered, massaging her temples.
Jisoo, who was sitting on Jennie's bed, put her Switch aside, looked at her watch and then looked worriedly at Jennie.

"Could it be that you're not doing any homework?",

she asked.
Jennie sighed.

"I'm working on the stalker story.",

she finally admitted.
Jisoo frowned.

"Yeah? What's the problem?"

Jennie fell silent and tapped her pen against the notebook, lost in thought. Jisoo waited patiently for a moment, then sighed.

"Jendeukie, it's long past midnight and you're still restless. You usually fall asleep pretty damn early, so something's wrong."

"I can't sleep until I've gotten at least a little further."

Jennie mumbled and yawned.
Jisoo sighed, got up and stood next to her while she looked at the notes.

"Explain to me what this is and what you have, then I can help you.",
