Rosé's expression when she arrived home was almost the same as always, she just seemed a bit pensive.
At least to others. In reality, she would have loved to run into her room, bury her face in a pillow and scream her lungs out.
But she couldn't, not without it being too obvious, and of course her whole family would ask what was wrong.Rosé was a bad liar.
Well, not necessarily bad, she was even surprisingly good at it, simply because nobody thought she would ever lie.
However, she always felt incredibly bad about it, and those who knew her better quickly noticed the guilty expression in her eyes.So it was better not to have to lie about some things she wanted to keep to herself. The kiss and the upcoming date with Jisoo were definitely among them.
Not because she cared about the reactions, Rosé knew that Lisa as well as her parents and Alice would support her.
But Rosé didn't want the support. And the playful teasing. She wanted to quietly find out for herself how the relationship between her and Jisoo would go.
To date in peace, to say embarrassing things, to meet secretly.
She enjoyed the idea of sneaking out of the house at night to meet Jisoo, secretly holding hands at school just for a brief moment, or whispering sweet words to each other.
And all this without their people knowing anything about it.
Or, more precisely, her family, she just wanted a little privacy in her love life.Besides, Rosé could already imagine her parents ruthlessly grilling Jisoo before the first date, and Rosé would do anything not to scare Jisoo away before she had been on a few dates with her.
Rosé's mind raced with numerous possible scenarios until she realized she didn't have Jisoo's number.
Did she really want to wait until tomorrow? She walked into the living room, where she saw Lisa sitting on the couch on her phone.
The blonde girl sat down next to her friend as if nothing was wrong, wiggled her legs a bit and looked at Lisa."Who are you texting?"
"Jennie.",
Lisa replied, and Rosé blinked.
She still had to get used to the fact that Lisa's behavior toward Jennie was much friendlier than just a few weeks before. It was... maybe not shocking, but definitely surprising."What are you guys writing about?"
"Party planning. And she was going to take me home when she saw me waiting at the bus stop for my driving instructor, so I thanked her earlier."
Rosé didn't answer that, and just stared at Lisa with her mouth open. The dark-haired girl looked up from her phone and returned the gaze for a few seconds before smiling a little. Rosé sighed. Apparently Lisa and Jennie had talked about Lisa living with Rosé.
"Lis. Sorry, I didn't mean to just tell them. It's just..."
Lisa quickly shook her head.
"No. It's fine, Jennie explained it to me. I'm not mad at you."
Rosé sighed in relief and looked at Lisa gratefully.
"Still. I shouldn't have told them you were living with me. Or I should have told you, as soon as I told them."
Lisa nodded.
"Yes, you should have. But it's okay. Besides, it's really nothing bad, and Jennie had you pretty much questioned."
Rosé laughed a little as she remembered how excited Jennie had been to squeeze any information she could out of her.
She was a little glad for the change of subject, if she wasn't just thinking about Jisoo, it was easier to keep it a secret.
