"I hope it will always be like this."

Jennie whispered as she cuddled up to Lisa.

"The two of us together, Jisoo and Rosie by our side. A few of our other friends with us, having fun somehow. Sometimes wild, like at Lotte World. Sometimes quieter... like now."

It had been long overdue to have more people over, and only now did Jennie truly realize that her home was really just perfect for smaller parties. A large, open living room, a pool, a roof terrace.
A suspiciously large supply of alcohol, considering that Jennie's parents were rarely at home.

She had to admit, it seemed like Jennie's parents wanted her to party with friends at home, at least when they had bought the house.

However, you could hardly call this get-together a party.

Jennie had prepared well for today, there was a table full of food and drinks, including some alcohol, soft music was playing and the warm light from the fairy lights added to the cozy atmosphere.
A few meters away from them, Rosé was being fed by Jisoo while she hummed to the song, Irene laughed at a joke from Seulgi, and Soojin and Shuhua were also invited and were currently chatting with Nayeon.
Jackson and Bambam were also there, sitting right next to each other, perhaps a little too close. They were talking enthusiastically, but quietly.

Jennie was sure that Jackson had feelings for his best friend despite the rejection. When he accidentally bumped his hand against Bambam's hand, he was surprised but didn't pull away. He even smiled.
It may not be love yet, but it was certainly more than friendship.

"Nini.",

Lisa murmured, gesturing for Jennie to stand up. Then she simply pulled Jennie with her, not wanting to let go of her hand, and walked over to the fairy lights.

"Don't get scared.",

she warned, loud enough for the others to hear, before turning off the fairy lights. For a brief moment, all that could be heard was the music, the conversations had stopped, and the teenagers just stared up at the night sky together, adorned with thousands of twinkling stars that were immediately much easier to see in the darkness.

Nobody had to say it. It was beautiful. A little romantic, a little melancholy. As if it was already clear that this day was gonna mean more than a simple meet-up between a couple of teenagers.

"What do you want to do? After school, I mean.",

Jisoo asked into the silence as her fingers ran through Rosé's hair. Irene giggled.

"It's still a bit too early to think about it, don't you think? We still have almost a year to decide on our future school career, which doesn't mean we have to know what we're really going to do by then!"

"I already know.",

Rosé whispered, smiling up at the night sky.

"I've always known, actually. I'm going to do something creative. Music, or art. I can't live without my creativity, so I've always known that I want to make a living from it."

It sounded so honest, so emotional, that no one dared say anything for a few seconds.

"I want to start my own business.",

Jackson murmured after her.

"I'm not sure what yet, but maybe I'll open my own place."

"A burger shop!",

Bambam suggested smirking.
Jackson laughed and nodded.

"That sounds good. The important thing to me is that I have enough money and can take time off whenever I want so I can go on adventures. Bungee jumping, skydiving. Something along those lines."
