Jealousy

Written from Beca's POV

Jesse and I broke up last fall. Now it was April, and I'm still not sure if I'm over him. I thought I was, but then I saw him start to hang around a new girl. I noticed them spending a ton of time together, and I strangely felt jealous. So I guess I'm not really over him just yet. Tonight the Trebles are hosting a small kickback at their house, and all of the Bellas are invited. I assume I'm going to see a lot more of Jesse and his new girl at the party, which is making it sound very unexciting. I knew the other girls would practically force me to be there regardless, so I guess I need to get ready.

"Chlo?" I called from my room.

"Yes?"

"I need your help picking out what to wear tonight."

Chloe's face practically lit up at that. She loved fashion, especially when she could dictate other's.

"Show me whatcha got." She said.

I held up a couple very similar pairs of jean shorts and didn't get a very good reaction. I think my options were boring her. I then showed her my slightly-less-boring shirt options too.

"What to know what I think?" She asked.

"That is why I called you in here." I tease.

"I think as boring as they are, the black shorts make your ass look good."

I felt my cheeks get warm. Why was I blushing? She says things like this all the time, so it really shouldn't matter.

"And the blue tank shows off your curves, but it's not too slutty." She continued.

I couldn't help but smirk at her comments. The funniest part is she truly was being genuine.

I thanked her and continued to get ready. We were supposed to be leaving in ten minutes, but I hadn't even started my makeup. I quickly changed into the outfit she picked for me and threw on a little mascara and lipgloss. I did my finishing touches to my hair that looked messy anyways, and then I finally headed downstairs. All of the girls were waiting for me, but they weren't as mad as they were excited that we could actually leave now.

"I told you that would look good." Chloe whispered with a wink as I walked past her.

Her little comments like that always made my stomach flutter, but I have no idea why. Especially when my mind is still so set on Jesse.

When we arrived at the Treble house, I immediately spotted the new girl. She was all over Jesse, and he clearly loved it. Disgusting.

"I see you've spotted Mia." Chloe said over my shoulder.

I guess I must have been frozen looking at them for a bit because I turned to see Chloe had already grabbed drinks. She held out a red solo cup with some mixture of soda and what I assume was cheap vodka.

"Thanks." I say, ignoring her comment about the girl whose name is apparently Mia.

"Just forget about them, Becs. Let's go talk to the other guys and have fun!" Chloe said. She grabbed my wrist and dragged me toward some of the Trebles.

I tried my best to be a part of conversation, but my eyes kept wandering over to the couch where Mia and Jesse were. I swear they didn't get up once. I must not have been hiding my mopey mood well enough, because Chloe pulled me aside to talk.

"Beca it's been over an hour. Can you just forget about them for a while and hang with the rest of us?" Chloe said. She pouted her bottom lip slightly, and I couldn't help but think it was a little cute.

"I have been hanging with you guys."

"You just don't seem very checked in is all. I just want you to have fun!" She said, grabbing my arm.

"It just sucks. Seeing them all... you know..."

Chloe let that sit for a second, but then a smirk grew on her face. I knew that look, and it always meant trouble.

"You know what would make Jesse just as jealous?" She asked.

"Hm?"

"If you got with someone here."

"Chlo, I can't do that. Besides, what guys here would I even want to get with?" I joked. It was true though, the Trebles weren't the most attractive bunch.

"You don't need a Treble," she said, "come here."

Chloe led me to a nearby couch and took a seat.

"You really want to make him jealous, right?" She asked.

I looked back to Mia and Jesse to see her tongue down his throat. I nodded urgently at Chloe. I was still confused where all of this was going, but she clearly had a plan.

Before I knew what was happening, Chloe grabbed my hips and pulled me between her legs. I was still standing, and she then guided my hands to fall on her shoulders.

"Sit." She said assertively as she patted her lap. Like I said, she had a plan. I sat on her lap, letting my legs wrap around her lower back. Somehow all of this felt natural with her. I didn't let my eyes wander anywhere but hers. It felt like it was just her and I left in the room.

"He's looking." She whispered.

Without even thinking, I pulled her in for a kiss. I shouldn't even call it a kiss. It was a full make out. I felt her fingers grip my hair as she pulled me deeper into the kiss. I thought a kiss to make someone jealous would be a little shorter, but I wasn't opposed. To be honest, I didn't want it to stop. I felt her teeth tug on my lip, and in that moment I think I forgot all about Jesse and what's-her-name. I scooted my hips inward so they were pressed against  Chloe, and I heard a soft moan escape her mouth. She was enjoying it just as much as I was.

When we finally pulled away, I noticed quite the crowd. The immature boys cheered, and the Bellas just stood in awe. Our little stunt definitely worked to take away Jesse's attention from Mia. He was staring at Chloe and I, and he looked pissed.

"Damn, Mitchell." Chloe said, placing her hands around my waist. I climbed off of her and felt my cheeks get burning hot. I knew I was blushing bad.

"I think we proved our point." I said.

"Oh we could outdo them any day." She teased.
