Timmy's POV
We both look at his father for an explanation.
He tells the woman to go out for a moment, and then he turns back to us.
"Alright, listen to me, I wanted to retire since you were sixteen, and you didn't even want to search for a mate when you didn't find your mate at your birthday.
So, when I was at the meeting, and I saw Emma I thought that she will be a perfect Luna.
Now we have a deal signed with her father, sorry for that, if I knew you already had a mate then I wouldn't have done that.
But now there's no getting out of the contract, so you either mate her, which will result in losing the bond with your unmated mate.
Or you will most likely have a war with her father, their pack isn't that strong, so you will have a good chance.
But that will put my reputation at risk, so you will have to take over right after you tell the pack that Timothy is your real mate." He explains.
"I really wish to rip your head off right now." Carter tells him.
"Well, you should have mated right after you found out he's your mate, you were supposed to claim him the same night as you found out, so don't turn it on me now, it's your fault too." The Alpha explains, making Carter growl.
"Claim an eleven year old?!" He asks, unimpressed.
"Ok, maybe not claim, but you should have at least said that he was your mate, that would have been enough of a claim." He says.
"Whatever, now listen, and do it as best as you can, because if you fail to do all of this today, I will ensure that you spend at least few months in the pack cellars after I take over.
I want you to explain it to mom, cancel the wedding, send that stupid woman back to her pack, inform that Alpha that the wedding won't happen, tell the pack that all of this was arranged by your stupid self, and apologise to everyone for lying." Carter orders sternly.
I feel as if he wants to shift, and really rip his father's head off.
"I will do it all today, sorry guys, that was stupid of me." He says, apologetically.
"Whatever, just get out of here, and try to not cross my path in the near future, I might kill you." Carter says, making his father nod, then he opens the door before closing it behind him.
"Well, that didn't went as planned." I say.
"Yeah? I didn't notice." He chuckles, and I chuckle along.
After we calm down, we look at each other for few seconds, before we both erupt in laughter.
"So, do you really think we will be having a war?" I ask him.
I don't know much about war, all I know is that there are at least two sides, and that they have to kill each other to win, which doesn't sound very good.
"Omegas can't know stuff like that, it's not good for their mental health, after you become my Luna, you will get to know a bit more, but for now I want you to forget about it." He explains, kissing the top of my head after he sees the disappointment on my face.
"Whatever." I say, and I go to sit on the Alpha's chair.
Carter sits on the chair in front of me, and as we look each other in the eyes, we start to laugh again.
