Carter's POV
It's finally the day of the attack that I and my pack have planned.
Hopefully it will be the last time we hear from that stupid pack, and I will personally make sure that my father will be punished for what he has put my pack through.
He will spend few months in the cellars, and he might be punished even more, if this attack will go wrong, and we will lose more people than I expect to lose.
"You're ready?" Timmy asks me, coming to stand in the living room of our apartment, while I pack the last few things that I will need.
We are not allowed to pack more than one bag, which should have a pair of clothes, and some food with a long date, in case of some type of plan change that won't allow us to stay in the woods.
"Yeah. Don't worry I will be back before the birth, I promise." I say, and I hug him tightly.
"Take care of Mason." I tell him after a short moment.
I have explained to Mason that I will be going out for a long time, I didn't really think that he will understand what I'm saying, but it turned out that he actually did understand it.
He started to avoid me, he doesn't even want to be in the same room as me, and he even doesn't want me to pick him up to carry him around, while it was one of his favourite things to do, before I have told him.
He just started to send me this cute glare, and I fear that he won't want anything to do with me after I come back, in about a month.
"I don't think he will be easy to take care while you're gone." He says.
"That's probably truth, also you won't be feeling the best, since I will be far away." I remind him.
"I know." He says.
"I have to go." I say, pulling away from the hug.
"I know." He says, and he sighs in disappointment.
I catch Mason standing in the doorway of his bedroom, but when he realises that I'm looking at him, he turns around, and he goes back inside.
"He will hate me." I say.
"No, he won't." Timmy says, and I look at him, making him roll his eyes.
"Just go before I force you to stay." He says.
I know better than to think that he won't try to actually do it, so I give him one last kiss, and go out the front door, and down the stairs.
When I get to the main room of the pack house, I see that most of the warriors are already here.
Every time that we have any sort of a trip, at least half of the warriors are left behind, to make sure that the people left behind will be protected in our absence.
We wait for the rest of the warriors, until it's the time to go.
We all head out the front door, and I lead them outside, where we all shift into our wolves, and we grip our bags with our mouths.
And we go towards this annoying pack, that apparently wishes to die.
