Chapter 19

Carter's POV

I wake Timmy up, with a birthday cake that I ordered few days ago.

It's a big cake, that could feed at least fifteen people, but I intent to eat it all today, and only with him.

He wakes up with a smile, and he blows the candles, and he takes a bite of the cake, before I can stop him.

I sit next to him, and we both eat the cake with our hands like little kids, making mess all around us, and throwing pieces of the cake at each other.

"It was a nice breakfast, now let's go on a walk." Timmy says, before forcing me out of the bed again.

We quickly get dressed, before heading out of the pack house, an into the woods.

We talk about the Doctor appointment, that we haven't even appointed yet, and I can't help but be excited because of how excited Timmy is.

As we walk further into the woods, I hear something, it sounds like some small animal is making their way towards us.

Since I deem that it's not a treat, I stop, and I make Timmy do stop too.

He turns to look at me questioningly.

"There's something small heading this way, let's wait, maybe it's a fox, you like foxes." I tell him, and he nods excitedly.

After a few minutes of waiting, I catch a smell, and I frown in confusion, it's not a fox, it smells like a child.

"I think it's a child, we should go check it out." I tell him, and when he agrees I pull him through the woods, until we reach a little boy.

He's just in his shorts, and a torn shirt, and he looks to be around two years old.

He runs towards us, when he notices us, but unfortunately he trips, and he cuts his leg, he starts to cry as the blood pours out of the small wound.

"We have to take him to the Doctor." I tell Timmy, he nods, and goes to pick the child up.

We quickly make our way back to the pack house, and I order the warriors to go look for the child's parents, since he's not from our pack.

The Doctor takes the boy from Timmy, and he makes us wait outside of the room, as he examines him.

A few minutes later, one of the warrior enters the pack hospital, taking our attention.

"We found his mother's body, it seems that she was attacked by a werewolf, she smelt like human, but it looks like she was on thher way to our pack." The warrior informs.

I thank him, before he excuses himself, and I turn to look at Timmy, already knowing what to expect.

"It seems like the Moon Goddess just gave me my birthday gift." He says, and I sigh, accepting my fate.

Soon the Doctor comes out, and he lets us enter the room, where the little boy is now sleeping.

"We need one more thing, before you leave us" I say, taking his attention.

"Can you check if Timmy's pregnant?" I ask, making him nod.
