Carter's POV
"Alright Joseph, let's go see your new house." I tell Joseph when I open his cell, where he was locked for a while now.
I wonder how many times that guard has let him go out, before I replaced him.
"A house?" He asks with arched eyebrow, clearly wondering what the hell I'm talking about this time.
"Yes, a house. But don't be too happy, you won't be leaving it for the next fifteen years." I inform making, him stop in the middle of the basement.
"What do you mean." He asks, not sure if he wants to know.
"Timmy and I have decided that we can't kill you, since there is a chance that you're our kid's mate, and we can't let you become a rouge, since you won't survive for long." I explain.
"So, we decided that it's the best option to keep you locked, like you asked, but Timmy refused to let you live in the cellars, so we built a house for you." I continue.
"That's great." He says happily.
"It will also have a barrier to keep you from escaping." I inform, making his happiness drop slightly.
"That's slightly less great, but at least I will be able to survive." He says.
"Yeah, just keep in mind that if the kid doesn't confirm your claim, you will be punished and killed." I say, making him shiver at the thought.
"That won't be necessary." He tells me.
"Come one I don't have a whole day." I complain, before grabbing his arm to pull him along, making us go quicker.
"Will you tell the child about me before their sixteenth birthday?" He asks, looking at me.
I shake my head, before turning my head to look at him too.
"I will definitely not tell them that." I say confidently, there's no way in hell that I will tell them before they can find out for themselves.
"So, I won't be able to see him grow up?" He complains.
"Him?" I ask.
"Yeah, I have a feeling that it's a boy." He tells me, excitedly.
"You're way to excited to wait over fifteen years, locked in a house with no way out." I inform him, amused.
"Yeah, whatever. It is what it is." He tells me.
We reach the house, that is already finished, and I grab the key for the front gate, before opening it, and I push him inside.
I have already seen the inside of the house yesterday, right after Timmy and I got informed that it's finished.
It's a small two bedroom house, but it will be big enough for him, it's surrounded by a metal gate that will be charged, it surrounds the whole house, it's also above and below it to prevent his escape.
It's nothing special, but it will hopefully make his imprisonment better.
"Every few days, someone will come here to give you all the supplies that you will need." I say, and he nods in agreement.
I turn around before going back to Timmy, leaving Joseph to explore his new house.
