Chapter 36

Timmy's POV

Carter lies on the hospital bed, sleeping after the operation he has to have for his arm.

Since we are werewolves, we heal quickly, but this isn't a very good thing sometimes.

The wounds will heal correctly if there isn't a bone broken, but if the bone brakes, it has to be set to let it heal correctly.

Carter's arm was broken in four places, and since we were far away from the pack house, it couldn't be treated immediately.

So, on our way here, it healed completely, but since the bones weren't set correctly, they healed in a wrong way.

The Doctor had to open his arm and rebreak all the bones that needed to be set, and to do that Carter had to have an operation.

It only took about an hour, but now Carter is sleeping, and Doctor Zack said that he will be resting for a few more hours, until he's ready to wake up.

"Dad." Mason says from behind me, I turn my head, staying sitted in the chair that was put next to Carter's bed, and I see Mason running over to me, my dad following him.

"How is he doing?" Dad asks.

I take Mason, and I put him in my lap, before answering.

"Good, he should be waking up soon." I say.

"That's good, I will be going then, I just wanted to check in." He says, giving me some food that he made for me and Carter, I nod, and I turn to face him.

"Thanks." I say.

"Do you want me to take Mason again?" He asks, motioning towards the toddler.

"Yes." I say.

"No." Mason says at the same time.

"You should go Mason, I have to take care of papa, so he can come with us to our apartment tonight." I say, but he shakes his head in disagreement.

"No, I want to take care of him too." He says, and I sigh, already knowing that it will be more trouble to make him leave, than to just allow him to stay.

"I will visit you soon." I tell my father, and he nods before leaving.

I play with Mason for about an hour, before Carter finally wakes up.

"Hi." I say quietly.

"Hi." He says tiredly.

"Hi!" Mason shouts loudly, making Carter cover his ears.

"No shouting, please." He says, and Mason apologises, whispering.

The Doctor comes in not much later, doing some examinations to him.

"Alright, everything seems to be healing good enough, you should feel fine in an hour." He says.

"So, I will be able to go to my apartment?" He asks and Doctor Zack nods, making him smile happily.

"That's good. I'm already tired of this hospital." I say, sighing in relief.

"You do remember that you will have to give birth here, don't you?" The Doctor reminds me, and I pale slightly, I didn't think about giving birth. I have no idea how that would even work.

"And how will that work?" I ask, not sure if I want to know the answer.

"You will push it out, it usually takes up to a week for an Omega, and it's very painful." He says, and I grip Carter's good hand tightly.

"It will be fine." Carter tells me, and I nod, not really believing him.
