Carter's POV

The next day, when I wake up, I decide to make us some breakfast, so we can talk about Joseph while eating.

When I finish it, I go to the bedroom to wake Timmy up, but before I can reach the door, I can see that he's already walking out of the room.

"Morning, I was about to wake you up." I say, before giving him a kiss.

He kisses me back, before pulling away, so he can hug me.

We decide to let Mason sleep for a while longer, so we start to eat the breakfast alone.

"I have something to tell you." I tell him, and he looks at me with mouth full of sandwich, willing me to continue.

"Joseph said that he's our unborn kid's mate." I inform him.

"He asked me to let him stay in the pack, even if the means that he will be a locked until the child is old enough to confirm that they're mates. What do you think we should do?" I ask.

His eyes widen, definitely not expecting anything like this.

"We can't keep him locked for over fifteen years, our kid won't forgive us if we do something like that." He says.

"I think it's a good option. If we let him leave, and live as a rouge, then he will most likely die out there, and I don't want him to walk around the pack.

He isn't a good person, so he might be lying, and if he is, then he's planning something. Believe me I have known him for years. If we let him stay here, then soon we might not have a pack to lead." I say.

I don't like the idea of locking anyone up for this long, but it will be necessary in this case.

I have known Joseph for years, so I know what to expect from him, he's the most troublesome out of my former friends.

He also was very jealous of my position, even thought he was supposed to me my Beta.

I wouldn't be surprised if he's just lying, so we will let him stay.

And then he might try to convince our kid that he's their mate, so he can be a Luna.

"Alright, how about this? We can lock him up, but in a house, surrounded by some barrier, so he can go outside for fresh air of he wants to." He suggests, and I consider it.

"We can't let him stay in cellars for this long." He says.

"Alright then, I will make sure that the house will be built soon." I agree, and we finish our breakfast with some light conversation.

"I should wake Mason up." Timmy says, and I nod in agreement, so he goes to to that, while I put the dishes into the dishwasher, and I make something for Mason to eat.

Timmy puts Mason in his chair, that is next to the table, and  after he eats, he asks to go for an adventure, into the woods, so since we don't have anything to do today, we decide that it's a good idea.

We walk through the woods again, a few hours pass by quickly, and I'm impressed that Mason is able to walk for this long.

But soon he gets tired, as expected, and he comes over to me, and demands that I carry him.

He falls asleep after few minutes, so Timmy and I decide to go back to our apartment, and we rest on the couch for a while.
