Chapter 22

Carter's POV

Today we will be introducing Mason as a new member of the pack, and a new member of the Alpha's family.

Along with this, we will tell the pack that Timmy is carrying a child, possibly their next Alpha, if it's a boy, and if the Moon Goddess will decide that he's good enough for the position.

Timmy wasn't happy about the fact that the position won't be open for Mason.

But I explained to him that it won't be possible, because he doesn't have my blood, which is necessary for the transition.

He was upset, but he seems to accept it how it is, and instead he tries to be happy that one of our other children will get the position.

"Papa!" Mason shouts, frustrated that I was lost in thoughts instead of paying attention, and greet him at his arrival, as the highness like him should be greated.

I swear this kid is something.

I look down to see him standing at my feet, his hands stretched up, demanding of me to pick him up.

I do so, before I kiss his cheek, and then I look at his cute outfit, a dark blue shirt and white pants.

"Are you ready to be officially announced as my son?" I ask him.

"No. Mate!" He shouts right into my ear, making it ring.

"You want to be my mate?" I ask, laughing slightly.

He giggles, and nods his head happily.

"I'm sorry to disappoint, but I already have one. He's right there, and he's your new dad." I inform him, pointing at the amused Timmy.

"Whatever." He says, sounding annoyed.

He tells me to put him down on the floor, and he goes towards the door, before sitting in front of them to wait for us.

"You're ready?" I ask Timmy, reaching out my hand for him to take, before leading him out of the apartment after picking Mason up.

We go to the backyard, that is decorated again, and it will be redecorated tomorrow for Timmy's birthday celebration, which we unfortunately missed, but I decided to celebrate if exactly a week later.

"Look it's beautiful." Timmy smiles at the decorations, pointing at certain things to make Mason look at them.

I take us straight to the stage, and I stand in the middle, with Timmy at my side, and Mason in my arms.

I clear my throat, to get the attention of the few people that still didn't realise that I'm already here.

"Good evening everyone, I gathered you all here to announce two things." I start.

"This is Mason" I say making everyone look at the child. "Timmy and I found him in the forest less than a week ago, and after we were told about his mother's unfortunate death, we decided to adopt him." I announce, and they all start to talk to each other.

I put my hand up to stop their talking, before getting to the other announcement.

"And the other announcement is that Timmy is pregnant, possibly with the next heir, but to know that for sure we will have to wait and see what the Moon Goddess might bless us with." I tell them, and everyone starts to cheer.

It takes them a while to realise that I said that my male mate is pregnant, and when one person finally points it out, I explain to everyone that it can really happen.

They start to cheer again, until the warriors that are currently on patrol start to howl, and the alarm in the pack house goes off again.
