Carter's POV

I'm finally entering my pack lands, with my warriors following closely behind me.

We lost a few people, but it was expected, the most important thing is that most of them survived.

I quickly shift to my human form, and put on the clothes form my bag.

I don't even bother saying any goodbyes, and I go straight to the pack house, and up to my apartment.

When I'm climbing up the stairs, I can't stop thinking about what I will be greeted with.

Is Timmy still pregnant, or is my daughter here already.

If everything went with plan, Timmy should be in the middle of giving birth right now.

I open the front door of my apartment, when I finally reach it, and I don't see anyone at first, so I go further inside.

I sniff the air, and I follow Timmy's scent that leads to our bedroom.

When I enter, I'm greeted with a very cute sight, Timmy is laying down on the bed, Mason is cuddled up to his side, and on Timmy's chest is a grey blanket, which I assume hides my daughter beneath it.

They don't realise that I'm here yet, so I step inside, with a smile, and they look at me happily.

Timmy looks like he wants to come over so he can hug me, but he doesn't want to wake up the baby, so I go over and I lay down bedside him, before kissing him on the lips, and kissing the top of Mason's head.

Timmy moves the blanket aside, so I can see the face of the baby, I look at her for a while, before I reach my hand to stroke her cheek.

"She's beautiful." I tell him, and he laughs, quickly followed by Mason.

"What?" I ask them, arching my eyebrow questioningly.

"It's a boy." Timmy tells me with a smile

"No way." I say, happy either way.

My happiness quickly fades when I realise one thing, that will affect his life.

"What? Are you not happy? Didn't you want a boy?" He asks, when he sees my smile fall.

"No, it's not that. I just realised that he won't be able to be an Alpha, I wasn't there when you gave birth, so the connection between us won't be strong enough for him to pass the Alpha caremony." I say, before groaning.

I can't believe that I let something like this happen.

"Did you name him?" I ask curiously.

"Yeah, he's name is Denver. Do you like it?" He asks, and I nod in agreement.

"He will hate me when he will get older." I tell him, annoyed at myself.

"Hey, it's not your fault, I'm sure you did what you could to come back on time. And from what you told me, even if you were here for the birth, it wouldn't mean that there will be enough connection." He reminds me, and I nod.

"Hopefully he will turn out to be an Omega, or we will have an angry teenager in few years." I tell him.

We lay there for a moment longer, before Mason falls asleep, and I decide to move him, and the baby to their rooms.

When I come back, I'm greeted with a naked Timmy that clearly is waiting for me to come back.

"Are you healed already?" I ask.

"Yeah, I gave birth a while ago, I'm not in much pain anymore." He says, making me close the door behind me, and I go over to him, while unbuttoning my shirt.
