Chapter 10

Timmy's POV

Carter is busy lately, he's preparing for the war that may not even happen, leaving me to tend to myself, and die out of boredom for a whole day.

He comes back at night, right before we go to sleep.

It started from the day that we found out what his father did, which was two weeks ago.

Every day I promise myself that I will wake up before him, so we can at least eat breakfast together, and then I will beg him to stay here for at least one day.

But every day I wake up earlier, and I still can't catch him.

I wonder if he even really sleeps.

Today I decided that enough is enough, and that I will go, and seek him out.

I leave the apartment, and I decide to start from the office, as I go there people stare at me, still not believing the news that in Carter's mate.

I don't feel very comfortable with their stares, especially since most of them aren't because of curiosity, or disbelief, but out of anger.

I find my way to the Carter's office, quicker then usually, I try to open the door without knocking, just to find out that it's locked.

I knock on the door, and when no one answers, I decide to check the backyard of our pack house.

People are getting it ready for the coronation, that will be tomorrow, followed by the mating ceremony.

I'm actually quite stressed about the mating ceremony, because although I'm not seventeen, we will have to complete the mating.

Also, we will have to start thinking about an heir for the Alpha position.

It has to be a boy, since our pack won't accept a girl as their Alpha, which I find stupid, but try to explain something like that to a bunch of people, that are following a tradition.

The child also has to have Carter's blood, so everyone things that we will have to get, what Carson called, a surrogate.

The backyard is decorated in royal blue and gold things, in the far back there is a black stage, in front of which, in the middle of the backyard, is a room that is built from glass, it's cool since you can see what's inside.

As I get closer, I can see that right now, inside is a huge king sized bed, with a gold frame, and next to the bed stands Carter, and his future beta.

I go towards them, I wonder why would they put the bed inside of this weird room.

"Hi there. Did you decide to get some air, or were you looking for me?" Carter asks, trying to make sure that I won't see the room, I wonder if he knows that everyone can see what's inside.

"I got bored, and I missed you, so I decided to look for you, I checked the office first, but you weren't there." I explain, before looking at the room again

"Why is the bed there?" I ask trying to see past him.

"How do you know that there's a bed?" He asks, clearly unhappy about the fact that I know what's inside.
