Chapter 27

Carter's POV

"He cached me when I was in the woods, he said that I have to convince you to let him, and his friends go." He says.

I try to resist the urge to go, and kill the bastard right this second, but instead, I lean against the couch, and I look at Timmy.

"Do you know how he go out?" I ask, and he shakes his head nervously.

"Don't be scared of me, you know that I will never hurt you." I say, and he relaxes again.

"I have to go, and make sure that they are still in the cellars, you should stay here with Mason, I will be back as soon as I can." I say, before hugging him tightly.

I give him a quick kiss, before I go out of the apartment, and I go down the millions of stairs, until I finally reach the basement door, while gathering a few guards on my way.

When we reach the door, the guards, that are standing outside of the door, greet me and one of them opens the door for me to enter.

It's dark here, we usually leave the lights off if there's no guard inside.

I turn the light on, and I'm met with groans of all the rouges that occupy the cells.

I look around, and I count my friends, everyone seems to be in here.

I go towards Joseph's cell, and he stands up, already knowing that I know that he was out.

"He promised not to tell you." He says, clearly annoyed.

"You should have known better than to think that he won't tell his mate, or that I won't smell you on him. I did right away for your information." I say.

"Look man, I know that it wasn't cool of us to blame him for what we did, and we're sorry for doing it. Can't you just let us out?" He begs.

"No, you just made me want to kill you even more. Not only did you blame him for your stupidity, but you dared to threaten him to help you." I tell him sternly.

"Look, I have some informations. Can we go to your office, so we can talk alone, before you decide to do something that you will regret? He pleads.

"No, I don't think this will happen." I say, before turning away to walk out of here.

"Well, what if I tell you that it's about your unborn child?" He asks, making me stop.

I turn towards him, and I try to decide if he really has any informations.

I wonder what informations he could possibly have.

"Information about my child?" I ask, wiling him to continue.

"Yes, but I want to tell you privately." He says.

I roll my eyes, but I unlock the cell door anyway, before telling the guards to put the handcuffs on him, when it's done, I take him to my office, and I shut the door behind us.

"What informations?" I ask.

He looks at me, probably wondering how he should tell me this, before he decides to just say it.

"Your unborn child is my mate." He says.
