Carter's POV

"Alright guys, everyone is waiting on us." I inform Timmy, he's trying to put clothes on Mason, but it looks like Mason isn't happy about it at all.

We decided to go on a hunting trip, it was supposed to be only the two of us, but it would be unsafe to go outside our pack lands alone, and I don't wasn't to risk anything happening to Timmy, so we will be taking a few of the guards.

They will be close enough to help us if we will need them, but not close enough to hear our conversations.

That way we can have some alone time, in human form, and then we will shift, and we will have some bonding times as wolves, while hunting.

"No." Mason says, clearly understanding that we're about to leave him with someone else.

That unlucky someone will be Timmy's dad this time.

"Yes." I tell him, picking him, and his clothes up.

I quickly put the clothes on him as gentle as I can while holding him still.

After few second of being locked under my strong grip, he stops his attempt at escape, and he lies down on the couch, letting me put the rest of the clothes on him.

"Don't go." He say sadly, looking at me with puppy eyes.

"We will be back in the morning, you will go visit your grandpa. It will be fun." I tell him excitedly.

"I want to go hunting with you." He says.

"I will take you hunting when you will be able to shift." I tell him, and he just sighs in frustration, accepting his fate.

"Let's go, your dad is already waiting downstairs." I tell Timmy, before picking Mason up, and we going towards the door.

"Be good." Timmy says to Mason when we reach the ground floor.

"Yeah." Mason agrees, but I don't believe that he will actually behave without us around.

Lately, he started to be obsessed with us, which wasn't the case before.

I don't know what changed, but I deffinitelly preferred his previous, indifferent, behaviour.

I kiss his head, before I hand him over to Timmy's dad, who takes him happily, before smiling at the clearly disappointed kid.

"Let's go everyone." I say, and Mason starts to cheer, most likely thinking that I meant that everyone that is here will be coming with us.

I clear my throat, getting ready to disappoint him again.

"When I said everyone, I meant the guards that are supposed to go with us, Mason." I tell the child, and his happiness disappears instantly after hearing my words.

"We will be back soon." I tell him, before petting his head.

He sighs in frustration, before pushing my hand away from his head, then he punches it as hard as his little arms allow him.

He gives me a glare, before demanding to be put down, and when he's safely on the floor, he walks out of our sight angrily, with Timmy's dad following him.

I stay in my place for a while, but after a few seconds, I decide that it will be better to walk out of the pack house, before he returns.

I grab Timmy's arm, and I lead him out of the front door, while the guards walk right behind us.
