I'm reading through my book again, catching typos and putting important details on a separate document because I FORGOT about some stuff.

Anyways, I actually forgot about the games on Kuroko's side, so here's going back in time a little. I think the Winter Cup in Haikyuu and Kuroko happen around the same time (happens in the winter??), but if not, it's fanfiction, whatever. He missed the first Seirin vs Touou game (Interhigh, I think), but now he's here for the Winter Cup. Let's assume he gets a free weekend to travel to Tokyo to watch the match. Which means we get to see some familiar faces again, yay~

The timeline, as usual, is skewed up, but we're gonna say this happens after he met Aomine in the Tokyo volleyball training camp. They've gotten most of their aggression out, but could work out some kinks.

I'll make another chapter for the Finals (Rakuzan vs Seirin) for sure, but not for the Quarter (Yosen) and Semi (Kaijo) finals, because that'd be too much for me to write. We'll have Kuroko's birthday chapter to make up for missing them though.

This one's VERY long, mostly because I wanted some KnB interactions; so buckle up and enjoy. Apologies for any typos in advance.

Mamoru's a little sad Maiko couldn't make it with him to Kuroko's game, but he understood the importance of school. Shiratorizawa is undeniably harder on their students than Karasuno and the curriculum is much stricter. Still, he knows she'll be watching on her phone as soon as she can.

He enters the stadium alone, but there's already a swarm of teams congregated in groups by the court. He gets a few looks, but he perseveres as he looks for Kuroko.

Kuroko finds him first, slipping through the throng of players to reach his side. Furihata trails after him, looking a little shaky. "You made it."

"Of course." Mamoru dips his head in greeting. "I don't know if I can make it for all the games, though."

"Your effort is what counts," Kuroko reasons, patting his shoulder.

"Where's Taiga?" Mamoru asks, realizing Kuroko wasn't following Taiga for once. He's learned Kuroko doesn't always follow Taiga for the sake of being a "shadow", but sometimes to scare him just for fun.

"He's currently flying back from America."

Mamoru balks, confused on why Taiga would need to fly back from America. Unless he was practicing something old. Hmm.

"Have you also received summons, Mamoru-kun?"

He doesn't need to know who's "summoning" them. Only one person would use such a command and it only fits that one person. Mamoru purses his lips, looking away. He never exactly blocked any of them, but silenced alerts. At one point, he had almost a thousand unchecked messages from Kise, alone, in less than two weeks. "I did...but I wasn't planning on going."

Kuroko grimaces. "Well, I'm going. Will you come with me?"

He's asking, which Mamoru's thankful for. He's genuinely giving Mamoru a way out. Too bad Mamoru has a protection streak. He sighs. "I'm coming too."

Mamoru follows Kuroko out of the stadium, the loud chatter dimming to nothing. It's not that far, where Akashi wanted them to meet. He knows it's the meeting spot without being told because currently, it's being occupied by five other Miracles sitting/standing on the stairs.
