The Beginning Of Despair

   The voice was different than Usami's... It wasn't as cheerful. Well, it was, but it had a tone of menace and hate to it. And you resented it. The moment it erupted from the speakers of the monitor; you sucked in a deep breath as a chill ran down your spine.

"Ahh, ahh! Mike check, mike check!" The voice called out as the screen began to rid itself of the static. "Ah, ah! Ah, ah! Can you hear me? Can you hear me?"

The sound of the shrill voice rang in your head. It was like you had just walked into a raging storm of lightning and thunder that wouldn't end. You felt fear swell up inside you, but you couldn't move. You couldn't speak. You couldn't even peel your eyes away from the screen that was still somewhat filled with static despite its beginning of subsiding.

It all felt... wrong. In every way. 

"Puhuhu!" The voice giggled. That giggle... it chilled you to the bone. "Were you surprised? You were totally surprised!" it cheered.

There was a moment of silence that felt like forever before it lowered and spoke again, almost threatening this time. "You were surprised... right?"

Looking around, everyone had the same expression as you. they were frozen, their eyes wide and filled with fear and questions. 

"Now, then," The voice began. You still couldn't see what it was behind all the static, and you hadn't noticed how hard you were focusing until you felt an ache at the back of your eyes. "Sorry to keep you all waiting for so long. Let's leave all this worthless entertainment behind. It's time for the main attraction! You guys' better hustle over to Jabberwock Park!"

The static never fully cleared before the monitor shut off. Usami looked ridden with horror, and the sky hadn't returned to its former state yet. 

You turned to Usami; a look of terror struck onto your features. "Plush Toy..." You murmured. "... What the hell is happening?"

"Could it be...?" Usami mumbled. "This voice...! I-if this... Oh, this is very bad. I gotta do something... It's all up to me."

Without another word, Usami disappeared. None of this was right... None of this was supposed to happen... right? ... right? You couldn't be sure. but you knew one thing. Usami knew something that she didn't want any of you to find out.

Byakuya cleared his throat, clearly attempting to wipe away the look of fear on his face, but it was clear to you how scared the boy actually felt. "It seems that... was an unusual occurrence..."

"It's best if... we go, too..." Chiaki mumbled. No one could easily speak. At least, not without pausing between words or stuttering. "Jabberwock Park, was it? Let's hurry..."

Chiaki walked away, the slight stumble in her steps making it clear how horrified she was. 

Akane seemed like she snapped back into reality, shakily chasing after Chiaki in desperation. "H-hey! Wait!"

"What about the people who are swimming?" Hajime asked, and you finally peeled your eyes away from your feet.

"Th-there's no time... to wait for them to change." You announced and they all looked at you. "I have a bad feeling about this..."

"...I'll head over first," Byakuya announced, leaving as quickly as he could.

Fuyuhiko clenched his fist and lowered his head, rubbing the back of his neck with his other hand. "Shit... Just what the hell is going on...?" He sighed, stuffing his hands in his pockets before turning and leaving. "I'd be really pissed if it's something fucking stupid!"
