Nagito lowered his head. "But the real important part begins now... Girl E had someone that could be called an accomplice. Girl D."
Hiyoko clenched her hands into fists. "Girl D? As in Mahiru? Mahiru is the accomplice...? What is this? What does that mean?"
You blink, pressing a finger to your chin. "The vase that proved Girl E killed Fuyuhiko's sister... The Kuzuryu girl. Mahiru got rid of it. And apparently Girl E killed the Kuzuryu girl to 'protect' Girl D. That's what she said. I think Mahiru got rid of the evidence because Girl E was her friend. She thought it was her job to keep her safe because Girl E did the same for her."
Nagito hummed in thought. "But Girl E was also killed by someone on the '4th Day'. I might as well ask just in case... Who do you think killed Girl E?"
His eyes locked on you and you glanced around. Fuyuhiko's own gaze was on you as well, almost in a pleading way.
You looked away from both of them. "If... If Monokuma's telling the truth... and... and we really lost our memories... Then... I guess Fuyuhiko killed Girl E..."
Gundham chuckles darkly, stuffing the bottom of his face into his scarf. "A scenario where Guy F murders Girl E out of a burning desire of Hellfire to avenge his sister...!"
Fuyuhiko looks down at his hands, tightly clenching the trial stand infront of him. "...What? It's just a stupid video game isn't it?"
Nagito smiled. "That's all you can say. If that game is telling the truth, it'd be a huge problem for you."
Nekomaru clenched his jaw. "Hey, clear this up for me. Those of you who appeared in the game, do you remember this incident?"
"Th-that is... I'm terribly sorry but..." Mikan whimpered.
Monokuma laughed aloud. "They don't remember, that's totally obvious! Because their school memories were like, totally stolen!"
Everyone remains silent, and eventually you speak. "He's telling the truth..."
Fuyuhiko's gaze shot to you in an angry glare. "Y/n-"
"What do you mean? Ain't no way!" Kazuichi screeches.
You remain silent for a moment before reaching to the pocket of your hoodie. "Actually... I have proof..."
"Whhhaaa!???" Ibuki gasped dramatically.
You pull a photo from your pocket, a familiar one. You held it up, showing it to everyone.
"What the fuck!?" Fuyuhiko grits his teeth. "You took it with you!?"
"What was I supposed to do!?" You snap. "It could've been useful evidence, and it is!"
Ibuki shrieks. "No wayy! Fuyuhiko and Y/n were DATING!?"
Fuyuhiko grunts. "I- We don't know that!"
"Nevermind that," Nagito crossed his arms, obviously uncomfortable with what you had just shown. "This proves that something happened before we came here. We went to Hope's Peak. That much is clear. So this proves that Monokuma is right. We did lose our memories..."
Monokuma giggles. "It's a mystery why you'd ever doubt me!"
Hiyoko lets out a shriek of her own as you shove the picture back into your pocket. "Even if I don't remember, I already know! No one would kill a nice person like Mahiru except a piece of shit, menace to society like Fuyuhiko! Girl E and Mahiru were killed by that guy!"
Fuyuhiko scowled and looked away. "Tch... you sure do talk a lot of shit... well i'm used to it by now."
Peko hummed. "But does Mahiru's murder have anything to do with that game? Perhaps the two are completely unrelated."
Hajime shook his head. "I'm not sure the two are completely unrelated. At the very least, the killer played the game."
"Both Mahiru and Girl E were killed with the same thing..." You mumble, not wanting to admit that Fuyuhiko might actually be Mahiru's killer. "The baseball bat was at both scenes... In the beach house and in the game..."
Hiyoko huffed. "Someone must've wanted to split his head open the same way they avenged the first victim!" She looked pointedly at Fuyuhiko.
"Fuyuhiko didn't kill Mahiru, you puggy-tailed, bully, piece of shit!" You snapped.
Everyone seemed surprised by your outburst and you looked away. "um... Sorry, Hiyoko... I didn't mean for that to... It's just that Fuyuhiko didn't kill Mahiru."
"That's bull!" Hiyoko spat. "You just don't wanna admit that your little fuckbuddy over there is a killer!"
"Shut up!" You seethed. "There's no way Fuyuhiko would kill someone over a goddamn game!"
"He was dumb enough to believe that game and that's why he killed Mahiru as revenge!"
Peko sighed. "If you keep going back and forth like that, we're just going to keep going around in circles. And... it's true that Fuyuhiko may look suspicious, but don't you think that'd be too obvious?"
Fuyuhiko's gaze shifted to Peko. "W-what do y-"
She quickly interrupted him. "What I mean is... what if this is a trap set by the true killer?"
Hiyoko sniffled. "T-trap...?"
"The true killer played the game and most likely found out about the relationship between the characters. That person could be using that knowledge to try to set up Fuyuhiko." Peko pointed out.
Kazuichi huffs. "Well, that crosses out Y/n as a culprit... She's so desperate for Fuyuhiko not to be the killer, it's pretty obvious she's not setting him up."
"Isn't that what happened, Hiyoko?" Peko added.
Hiyoko gasped. "H-huh!?"
"Don't you understand!? I'm saying you might be the true killer!"
Your eyes widen. Sure, you were upset at Hiyoko, but you didn't mean to make anyone think she was a killer!
Hiyoko laughed nervously before clenching her fist. "H-hey! What are you saying, you nasty, toilet-clogging bitch!?"
"You were at the scene of the crime!" Peko pointedly said.
Hiyoko shrieked. "But I didn't go to the beach house!!"
Hajime shook his head. "Wait, Hiyoko. you should've been at the beach house."
"Seriously, i said i didnt'!"
Hajime sighed. "But aren't the footprints in the sand at the front of the beach house yours?"
Hitoko struggled to respond.
"h-hey!" You chimed in. "Just because she lied about being at the beach house doesn't mean she killed Mahiru! Think about it, you imbecile idiots. Why would she kill the only person that would help her tie her kimono? The only person that actually liked her? That makes zero sense. So she lied about being at the beach house. I would've too if it stopped me from being a suspect!"
Fuyuhiko clenched his fist. "Don't believe her, dumbass, she's obviously lying!"
Your gaze shot to him. "What the fuck!? She didn't do it! Use your common sense!"
"Why are you so goddamned righteous!?"
"Because I don't wanna let an innocent person die because no one believed them! Why the hell are you so intent on finding the killer this time when you couldn't care less when Byakuya died!?"
Fuyuhiko clenched his jaw and looked away.
