Ibuki gasped violently, staring at Hajime. "A sword!? As a stepstool!?"

"HAH! See!? I told ya' it was a ninja, Hajime!" Akane exclaimed. "Ninjas know this trick where the lean their sword against the wall, and use the hand guard as a stepstool."

"Wow! Just like a Japanese Ninja!" Sonia breathed in awe.

There was a long moment of silence before Kazuichi pressed a hand to the back of his beanie. "M-Miss Sonia... Ninjas only exist in Japan..."

Quickly changing the subject to get back on track, Chiaki spoke up. "Well, it is a bamboo sword.... But I'm sure a slender girl like Peko could easily use it to climb..."

"Well, Peko... you have anything to say?" Hajime crossed his arms.

You opened your mouth to speak, but Fuyuhiko clenched his fist and spoke pointedly at Hajime. "H-hold on a sec, bastard!"

"Fuyuhiko, what the fuck!?" You glare at him.

But your scolding was proved useless as he continued. "You're saying that she used the bamboo sword as a stepstool, and went out the fuckin' window!? Then what about the sword!? It would've been left in the shower room, and she wouldn't have been able to recover it, dumbass! If she used the bamboo sword as a stepstool, it would have been left behind!"

Hajime blinked as if he was surprised. "She obviously recovered it!"

"Got proof, you bastard!? I'll sell your fuckin' organs!"

"Fuyuhiko, calm the hell down!" You spat.

"Shut the fuck up! If you got proof, show me!"

"She used her swordbag!" Hajime pointed out.

Fuyuhiko blinked.

".... huh?"

Hajime nodded. "Wehn she leaned her sword against the wall, she tied her swordbag to it. So when she got up to the window, all she had to do was pull up the bag."

Nagito hummed. "I see... not just the bamboo sword, but even the swordbag too... she used them both to escape. Akane said she was like a ninja, but it's nothing as silly as that... Simply put, only Peko could've performed this feat! An escape befitting of the ultimate Swordswoman!"

You groaned inwardly.

"Even so, how disappointing..." Nagito sighed. "If only you would've let me work with you, it would've been an even greater plan..."

Kazuichi groaned and jabbed a finger forward. "Awh, you just back off!!"

Mikan pressed her palms together, her eyes swelling with tears. "U-um... is... is it true....? D-did you really... k-kill Mahiru...?"

"H-hold on!" Fuyuhiko seethed. "You're just makin' assumptions! You don't have any proof! I won't accept this unless there's proof!!"

A long moment of silence followed.

"... It's fine." A voice spoke.

Looking up, you saw that it was Peko that said it.

Fuyuhiko paused. "Huh?"

"I said it's fine," Peko crossed her arms. "Saying anything more would be an exercise in futility."

Gundham lowerd his head. "Among flowers, the cherry blossom. Among me, the samurai... I commend your decisiveness, at least... Very well. If you admit it, this ends now! Let's cast our votes!"

You scoffed. "Yeah, come on already. We already figured out it's you."

"Agreed," Peko nodded. "... Hurry up and vote."

"Ah," Chiaki held out her palm. "Let me confirm one thing first!"

Peko blinked. "Can it wait until after the voting...?"

Chiaki shook her head. "It's important and relates to the voting. It's about Peko's motive..."

"Motive...?" Peko hummed.

"In the end, you had no connection to the events in Twilight Syndrome Murder Case, correct? Then... why did you kill Mahiru?"

Peko stayed silent. "... Well if I must answer that question... I must say... it was for the sake of justice."

Your eyes widened in confusion. "I'm sorry, Justice?"

Peko's face darkened. "In order to... protect the justice of this world... I do not sully my hands to satisfy personal grudges... There is only one reason i kill. For the sake of protecting justice!"

Nekomaru's eyes twitched slightly. "Y-you.... what are you saying!?"

Peko spoke again. "Justice is what makes humans human... It's a virtue that human beings should be proud of. Justice is the eternal sun... and the enduring moon... The protective father and the smiling mother..."

Ibuki nervously touched her fingers together. "Hellooo! E-earth to Peko...!!"

"If justice disappeared from this world," Peko continued. "The world would immediately freeze, and people's smiles would vanish. I... will not allow that...!"

Fuyuhiko grunted. "I-it's fine, just stop it!"

"Justice must always be there to guide us!! To shine bright above our heads!"

Fuyuhiko gradually became more frantic. "I'm telling you to stop it!"

"So i must fight! I must continue to fight to protect justice!"

Sonia gasped. "Th-this is... could she be...!?"

"As the light of justice shines upon my mask... I expose the hearts of malevolent evil..."

"JUSTICE COMPLETE!"
