Wrong.

Everything about this was wrong.

The silver blade of the knife glinting from the light of a lamp in your room, and the re-written note gripped firmly in your grasp.

You had been the first to leave Jabberwock park after Monokuma's show. Fuyuhiko had tried to follow, but you had shoved him away without a second thought. You had gotten too close to him already, and if you got any closer, it would only hurt you more when you got away with the murder.

---

You hadn't moved from your spot on the pavement, looking around with half-lidded and red eyes before finally moving to stand up. You struggled at first, relying weak arms and legs to push yourself up, but you got there eventually with a stumble.

Regaining your balance, you glanced at the rest of your class. Everyone was either staring at each other or the ground, their wide eyes rendering all their fear out on display.

It was decided now. It wasn't your first choice of action, but it had to be done in order to get out of this hellhole. Swivelling around, you stuffed your hands into your pocket and began to move your weak legs, one after another, toward the exit.

"Where the hell are you going?" Fuyuhiko asked, narrowing his eyes as he took a step toward you. You stopped, sighing as shook your head.

"Doesn't matter."

"Yeah, it does," Kazuichi chimed. "We need stay together here!"

"You think so?" You asked, raising a brow as you turned around, locking eyes with the mechanic boy. "Well, you guys can do that. Count me out."

Fuyuhiko scoffed, taking another step toward you with furrowed brows. "You can't just go off on your own like this-"

"Watch me."

Turning around once more, you began to make your way toward the exit before someone gripped your arm and twirled you back around, sending a shearing pain through your graze but you said nothing.

Fuyuhiko stared at you with irritated eyes. "You're not just gonna walk away without so much as an explanation to where you're going, dumbass!"

You shoved him away, jerking his hands away from you with a huff. "What the hell, Fuyuhiko? Are you slow? I'm not your friend. Or 'anyone's' friend. I'll get out on my own, damn it!"

The worst thing was, you didn't want to push him away. But you couldn't get any closer with any of them right now when they would end up dying after you...

No. Best not to think about it right now.

You spun around, leaving the park without another word as everyone stared behind you.

---

... It wasn't like you had a choice. You had to get off of this island and back home. A future was waiting for you... Your brother was waiting for you.

Letting out a sigh, you grasped the knife in your hand, gently running your fingertips along the side of the blade. You had to admit, the blade was kind of mesmerizing.

People had called you insane before. Well, the most commonly used insult was 'poem-freak'. Very creative... People had called you insane, a psychopath... crazy, delusional, sociopath. Sure, most of your poems were rather dark, but you only ever really wanted a good future.

But thinking now, and grazing your fingertips along the silver metal, you couldn't help but be caught in a trance by the weapon. It wasn't like you were just always fascinated by possible death-inducing objects, and you didn't know why you were so mesmerized at the moment.
