"Okay, so obviously no one slipped Peko any laxatives," You hummed.

"I apologize for causing a scene," Peko spoke from her spot, crossing her arms.

Mahiru huffed. "Fuyuhiko should apologize not you. He's the one that made the laxative accusation!"

Fuyuhiko clenched his fist, glaring at Mahiru. "The fuck did you just say, bitch!?"

"Hey, what the hell!?" You shrieked form your spot. "If Fuyuhiko didn't make that accusation someone else would've!"

Hiyoko gagged. "Yeah, yeah! You can stop protecting him! We get it, he's your fuckbuddy!"

You gasped, unable to come up with a response as you were still processing her words.

"And you!" Fuyuhiko hissed at the dancer. "You shut the fuck up! You have no clue what the hell you're talkin' about!"

"Cease this bickering!" Sonia ordered.

You cleared your throat. "L-let's just dismiss Peko's stomach-ache as a coincidence and go back to discussing the black out."

Hiyoko opened her mouth as if she were about to say something before Fuyuhiko shot her a sharp glare and she snapped her mouth shut again.

"So... how was the breaker tripped?" You asked.

Mahiru hummed. "Maybe someone caused a power surge?"

Hajime nodded, agreeing with the girl. "It's just as Mahiru said... The blackout was caused by a power surge! Of course, that's not a coincidence. Someone did it intentionally."

"Which is why those three irons were arranged to cause the blackout," Nagito agreed.

Hajime stopped to think for a moment before looking at Nagito. "Nagito, when you found the irons after the blackout, they were still on, right?"

You shrugged. "Then it's obvious the culprit caused the power surge by using the irons. So that's how the killer caused the blackout! There's no other way!"

"Well... The irons were just one reason the blackout occurred, Y/n," Hajime mumbled. "But, they weren't the direct trigger?"

"Huh?" You breathed. "What the fuck are you talking about?"

"The direct trigger was when the air conditioners in the dining hall and office clicked on."

"A-air conditioners...?"

Hajime looked around the room at everyone. "The timers for both air conditioners were set to 11:30 p.m."

"11:30 p.m...." Hiyoko began. "Mr. Ham Hands died around that time too!"

"Oh..." you hummed. "I see. When the timers activated their air conditioners, the breaker was tripped and caused a blackout!"

Nagito held a hand to his chin. "They probably checked the old building's energy usage in advance, and used the irons to nearly max it out. so once the timers were set, they just had to wait until they started up on their own."

"Regarding the energy usage..." Chiaki started. "They probably asked Monokuma about it."

"Dun-dun-dunnnnn!" Monokuma sang.

Hiyoko groaned. "The killer is so sly! I'm starting to worry we might never actually find them."

"It's alright," Nagito grinned. "You don't need to worry. Because... they're just a petty killer, right? They can't defeat symbols of hope like you guys! There's no way everybody will lose now... This little incident will just be a stepping stone for you all. In the end, hope always wins. That's what I believe!"
