"Twilight Syndrome Murder Case..." You mumbled as you gazed at the title screen.
Nagito hummed. "That looks a lot like Hope's Peak, huh?"
You glanced at him before looking at the title screen again. Indeed, Hope's Peak Academy was in the background. "huh..."
"Guess you should try playing it a little."
Your eyes shot to him. "That wasn't the agreement. You play the game and I just watch."
Nagito pressed a hand to his chin. "I don't remember verbally agreeing to anything..." He shrugs. "But oh well. don't take my word for it! I'm just a hopeless piece of trash."
You roll your eyes before sighing. "Fine..." You huff, before moving your hand over the joystick.
You blink. As soon as the game starts up, it shows a screen that says "2nd Day".
"Uh... isn't there supposed to be a first day?" You asked cautiously.
Nagito blinked as well. "I don't know...."
You sighed, shaking your head before playing the game.

Girl A stood in the hallway of what looked to be a school. "Ah, it's already late... I'm gonna be late for our meeting...." she thought. "Everyone's waiting... I gotta hurry and go. If i'm late... everyone's gonna hate me. Um... they're waiting in classroom 1-A..."
And without further ado, Girl A rushed through the hall, finally arriving at the classroom and stepping inside.
Girl B huffed. "Man, you're finally here! You're so late! What were you doing?"
"I-I'm sorry if you're angry! U-Um- please don't be mad...!" Girl A stummered.
"We're not angry..." Girl D hummed.
Girl B sighed. "Just hurry up and get over here!"
Girl A simply nodded. "Um, we're here because had something important to say right? ... what's this about?"
Girl E rolled her eyes. "Obviously it's about yesterday's incident."
Girl B turned around. "hey, you saw the newspaper right?"
"Y-yeah..." Girl D mumbled.
Girl A blinked. "Huh? What newspaper?"
Girl B groaned. "Gawd, you're such a slowpoke, Girl A. It's in today's evening newspaper!"
Girl C grinned, handing Girl A a paper. "This one, here ya go!"
"Just read it..." Girl E sighed.
July 8th: At around 6:00 am, a janitor from XX Academy came to work... and discovered the body of a highschool girl in the music room on the 2nd floor. The student had been struck forcefully in the head with a blunt object, and was already dead.
It seems the killer broke a window to escape. Based on the details of the crime, authorities say...
The investigation is ongoing and believe someone may have snuck into the school to commit the act.
Girl B stuck her tongue out. "I was a little surprised. I never thought it would make the newspaper."
Girl E shrugged. "It says that 'someone may have snuck into the school' so they might be thinking some pervert did it. It is the only lead they have. I mean, her school swimsuit did get stolen too."
Girl C groaned. "That sick, twisted bastard! Sneaking into a school to steal a swimsuit, killing a nearby girl, and escaping through a window. Kyaaaah! We're all in danger too!"
Girl A bit her lip. "I mean... I-is this okay? We were the first ones to discover the body... and we kept it secret..."
"It would've been the same no matter who found it," Girl B spat. "Don't worry about it. It's not like we have anything to hide anyway."
Girl E nodded. "That's right.... all we did was find a body and not report it. That's not really a crime."
"B-but still!" Girl A pleaded.
Girl E huffed. "Look, I know you're a masochist but I'm going to get involved with this. I'm finally a student at this academy! There's no way I'm getting expelled over something like this. Right? Isn't that right, Girl D?"
Girl D lowered her head. "Y-yeah, I agree.... but..." Everyone stays silent
Girl C eventually looks at her. "What's up!? You don't seem so sure."
"U-um... I actually have something to discuss with you guys..." She mumbled. After another long moment, she spoke again. "To be honest... I took several photos of her yesterday..."
Girl E gasped. "A-are you talking about her body!?"
Girl D looked away. "I thought we might get questioned by the police... so I thought i should take some just in case..."
"Wh-where are those photos now...?" Girl A hesitated.
"I have them..." Girl D lowered her head further. "Right here..."
Before Girl D could do much else, Girl C stepped back. "Whaaa-!? I don't wanna see those! We're definitely gonna get cursed!"
"C-cursed!?" Girl A gasps.
"Stupid!" Girl E spat. "Curses aren't even real! You seriously need to throw away those photos. Give them to me!"
"Ah, hey!" Girl D gasps.
Girl E snatches a photo and rips it in half.
Girl C groaned. "This is bad! If you rip it like that, the curse...!"
"I just said curses don't exist!" Girl E snapped. "It's better to just rip these photos to shreds and throw them into the incinerator. Girl D, if you have any digital copies, you need to erase those too!"
"O-okay..." Girl D mumbles.
Girl B glances at Girl E. "Hey, Girl E, why do you sound so desperate? What happened?"
"N-never mind!! Let's just forget about the whole incident!" Girl E huffs, turning away from everyone. "We had nothing to do with it and we weren't the first ones to discover the body! Okay? The End. Seriously, let's go home already. Come on, it's getting late."

When the loading screen came up, you glanced at Nagito, whom looked just as confused as you were.
"What in the world..." you mumbled.
"Just... keep playing... if you keep playing, you'll prove what a clear mascot of hope you are!" He smiled after a moment.
You blinked. "I'm playing to find out who killed Mahiru. Not to prove... whatever you just said."
Nagito chuckled, shaking his head. "My point made... What a crystal clear representation of hope...."
You rolled your eyes, turning back to the game.
